A Motivational Alternative

Oh Hai Cheers!

Whew! That looks tasty...so does Friday!

Currently I'm drenched in sweat after a couple of runs of basketball out in the sun...so the good kind of sweat! A great active way to kick off a Friday for myself.

But yeah! I'm enjoying the morning sun as you should some time this weekend if there are blue skies around in your area. Should be a busy yet joyful weekend for myself; wishing all of you a fantabulous weekend with a sprinkle of cherry awesomeness on the sides!

Looks like it's my turn to step back on the court for another run...catch y'all later!

Cheers!

Hump! Jump! Jump!

Allo Hello Interweb beings with opposable thumbs!

We have arrived to another midpoint in another crazy week here on the 3rd Rock. You look great and we're closing in on the big finish...but there's still a little more needed to be done and I'm not doing all this all alone!

So in case of emergency...or you just like reading quotes as a guilty pleasure...here are my trio of quotes to help you spring over those big humps still in your way! And maybe give you a few style points in your jumping skillset.

Whoa! Nice jump! Watch Your Head!

"To succeed, jump as quickly at opportunities as you do at conclusions."
-Benjamin Franklin

"A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him."
-David Brinkley

"The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will."
-Vince Lombardi

Have Faith In You (On Tap 103)

Allo Hello people of the interwebs! Hopefully all of you guys and gals had a great weekend!

Even if you did or didn't, Monday has arisen from the ashes once again to challenge you to a duel. Some of you will not be accepting it and decide to crawl back under the covers and throw the alarm up against the wall...bad. If you're one of those that will accept the challenge that Monday will bring then please walk towards your closest door, unlock, open and step towards the challenge.

This week's theme: Faith.

If you don't have faith in yourself then how the hell are you suppose to do anything in this world? Faith is a powerful five letter word when said and used correctly. Try doing that this week; when things seem to be going south for you...have faith in you that you will be able to turn things around with your ability.

And if things are going rather perfectly in your spectrum of the world, then keep doing what you are doing and believe in yourself and your abilities that you will keep your head above water and keep kicking ass. Figuratively of course...no physical ass kicking this week please...unless you're a MMA fighter.

Anywho, faith doesn't make things easy now...they make them possible. The belief that things may look shitty now but the tide will turn and cause those things to wash away from your life. So prepare yourself for another challenging week and believe in yourself that you will make it through.

Also treat yourself to something nice during it...hard work deserves a treat every now and then.

Love Yo Face. Enjoy Your Week.

Keep It Moving.

Allo Hello! Another Hump Day, another trio of goodies to help you jump over that big ol' hump!

"To me, if life boils down to one thing, it's movement. To live is to keep moving."

"I tell you, if you're in the front row of the parade and you stop walking, pretty soon you're back in the tuba section. And if you want to lead the parade you've got to keep moving."

Viva La Hump Day!

Opportunities Lie Ahead. Get 'Em. (On Tap 102)

Allo Hello people of the interwebs and welcome to another week of thrills, spills, leveling up, loot hunting, and adventure!

First off, I would like to wish all of the men out there that just so happen to have off-spring and does a pretty damn good job raising, caring, and helping them live better lives and have bright futures a happy Father's Day. This wish also goes out to all the single mom's, friends, family, teachers, and anyone that had to step out and play that fatherly role for someone.

I hope you enjoyed that new pair of underwear, clothes, power tool, grill, or whatever manly type gift you received on Sunday.

But yeah! Good job Dads! (Hand Pound!)

Now onward into Monday after what I'm hoping was a good weekend for all. Mine was....rather busy. So busy in fact that after it was all said and done...I logged out of my social networks, turned my Internet off, cut my phone on silent, closed the door to my room and slept...for 12 straight hours. Opportunity rose it's rather magestic face in the workplace and I got some extra hours of work...a lot of them.

Also fun fact, if you sleep for that long period of time and then decide to wake up at 5 in the morning like I did...go to the gym! You can workout all the sleep you gained, make you look lean, toned, and some sort of sweaty sexy when done correctly, and then ride all the way back to bed for another sleep quickie before your alarm goes off.

Opportunity is something that people should never look away from...unless you studied it's looks carefully and it doesn't look like something that you want to get to know...by all means run away from that hideous looking thing! But in general...opportunities are like that hidden treasure chest you find in your RPGs filled with some rare loot and XP that no map would ever help you find...TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM!

Yeah...you might not want to do the hidden objective that is asked of you at the moment or you had plans and you don't want to ruin them when the time draws near for the start...but most of the time you regret not taking them and your brain looks back on them and says hey...you should have taken the deal.

The theme for this week...OPPORTUNITY! If you run into one, take it. If you hear about one, do some research, find whoever is funding this chance and take it. Have something in mind that you have been putting off for months and now is the time you want to do it? TAKE IT!

See what I'm getting here?

I wish you all a happy Monday (even though I see a couple tear drops coming from the sky...sunny days are ahead!) and everyone enjoy your new week of adventure!

And if the quest gets too tough, phone a friend. Some levels require co-op.
Love Yo Face.

Salud!

Cue the confetti, hoist the colors, and grab the ice cube trays....we have made it to Friday!!!

Here's a random fun fact...around 58% of the total population here in the States plays video games! As a gamer myself, I say cheers to that! But anyway...most gamers that just so happen to watch E3 this week were overly mind-blown with the Xbox One trying to spy/take over your living room while Sony debuted the PS4 and well...basically dropped the mic on Microsoft.

Definitely can't wait to see more games coming soon to a next-gen console near you. Personally, I'm excited for FIFA 14, Destiny, Kingdom Hearts III, The Division, and Watch_Dogs.

Gahhhhh! Just Shut Up and Take My Money!!!

As to which system that I'm leaning towards getting...PS4. Simply put, I just want to be able to play video games without any restrictions. Microsoft basically played the Death Card out of a deck of Tarot cards from the local Psych Reader shop when they made the Xbox One not able to play used games, take your games and play them at your friend's house for a friendly frag fest or duel on the hardwood, and making sure you are ALWAYS connected to the Interwebs or the One goes bye-bye and shuts down.

Oh you don't want a Kinect? Too bad it comes with the system and I'm gonna jam it down your throat even if you don't want to use it...because you have to. I promise it tastes just like a tea-bagged sticky grenade from Master Chief.

Not to mention the fact that Sony basically made fun of Microsoft, made their system 100 bucks cheaper, and you can play used games and such. Boom. The only flaw is that now Playstation Plus is now required for online play which means all the Sony fanboys can now be silenced about Xbox Live and paying for online play; welcome to the club.

But as a person that has le Xbox 360 I don't have a problem with paying a fee for online play...especially if it's worth your money in the end. And I think with PS4 and the perks Playstation Plus has, it will be.

Anyways, I can go on and on about E3 and my inner gamer excitementagasm but I got some things I need to do today and of course the weekend is here! Filled with work, events, probably a trip to the gym and sleep...at some point...maybe.

Onward!
I wish you all a Merry Friday, an Exciting Saturday, and a Melo Sunday.

Cheers!

"One thing that I've learned about Fridays: Pants are required. Always pack a backup set just in case things get just a bit too crazy for you and your current pair of denim."

Critical Thursday Tres!

As another day rises up from the ashes and my eyes open slightly showing that I am indeed still alive on this rock...one question runs rapid throughout my cranium as I lay here...

Why So Serious?

The infamous question made famous by The Joker but yeah...think about it. Why So Serious? Why must life be oh so serious at every living moment of the hour, day, week, month, and year? Now I'm not stating that life is all play and no worries; there are some moments that should be taken seriously but everyday though? Not really feeling that read...

Most people are all about getting shit done here and now; which isn't a wrong way to handle your business. However, when it gets to the point that this is all you think about there lies the dilemma. You become so wrapped up in your own shit that you ignore the other shit that's happening around you which leads to your life becoming...well in simple turns...shit.  Everyone should be able to handle their own business on their own but don't get so over-consumed by this that you actually start missing moments in your life that you will indeed be sadden that you missed the opportunities to experience them.

Life is short; we've heard this before and I'm pretty sure it will be on a bulletin board somewhere as we walk to get a cup of Joe as we just so happen to look that direction. Back on subject...life is short. (see? Told You.) It's not always a total paradise with our feet in the sand as we look out towards the horizon in relaxation; some chapters involve some dark and gritty details that we would like to overlook but that helps makes us into who we are. Enjoy your life and by all means...ENJOY IT! None of us REALLY know what lies ahead of us when we all pass away from this place. No matter what religion or non-religion beliefs you believe in...we all at some point will be no more.  It's scary to think about but that's a reason to live life as much as possible...at least for me it is.

Take in all the moments that life brings your way...the good, the bad, the despicable, the random, the take-downs, and the up-risers....all of them. Learn from them because in the end, all the experiences you've taken molds your life. Those experiences can help bring you towards better things and others (especially if you have offspring) can learn from you and what you have gone through and accomplished. You never know when you can be an inspirational upbringing to someone.

One of my favorite people that I enjoy watching and listening to is Mr. Philly Defranco (ironic since he Loves Yo Faces too.) on YouTube. Check out this video on his Top 10 Life Tips! They're funny and actually very thoughtful...but mostly funny.

The video and he alone is a prime example as to not being so serious...serious seriousness can kill you slowly from within. Let your mind and body go through changes, get a new haircut, go to China, eat that Triple Decker Cheeseburger with small salad on the side, go to Disneyland AND Disneyworld, ask the girl of your dreams out...and if she turns out to be a bitch...well at least you tried. Don't have the serious stick be so far up your behind that you just don't experience life the fullest degree in all of it's wackiness and good times.

But Yeah! Don't be so serious in this game called Life...because it's not a game like Super Mario World where you go in a straight line from world to world trying to save the "princess". It's more like Borderlands...you're in the massive open world filled with all sorts of experiences, missions, people, loot, and XP at your disposal.

Now go out there and have some fun.
And watch out for those Puppy Skags...nasty little fellas.

You're Almost There...

Hey yo! Here's a trio for hump day purposes to get you over that big ol' hump!

"You can conquer almost any fear if you will only make up your mind to do so. For remember, fear doesn't exist anywhere except in the mind."

-Dale Carnegie

Sand in My Hair? Don't Care. (On Tap 101)

If only I was here just a tad bit longer...haha.

There is just something about Kazie and being on a beach for an amount of time that I'm just one with myself; or maybe that's just the Mango and Coconut Rum talking...yums!

Anyway...hello peeps! Hope that your weekend was fun, relaxing, and you were able to get some form of rest in the middle of it to charge up your batteries for a new week of adventure.

Mine was oh-so-nice!! Spent the majority of it at the beach catching some sun, watching teams at the beach soccer tourney that just so happen to be there when I walked out onto the sand, ran into some familiar faces and met some new ones, and enjoyed just being away from the city for a bit along with the company of my girlfriend. Was definitely a blast in the glass!

When I was not near the sand or the sun, I was on the road coming and going; even drove in through traffic and a tropical storm just for fun. But in the end...totally worth it for a rather entertaining, relaxing yet refreshing weekend.

Find Your Beach; I Already Found Mine.

Alas, I could not stay in the sands forever as Monday has approached which means it's time for another week to come up to the start line and await the trigger to initiate the start.  Gonna be a busy one for myself but I'm ready to take it head on because I'm betting on myself that I will make it to the finish line first.

Probably should hit the showers after the race too...there's sand...everywhere!

Let's gear up guys and gals. We got a Monday to conquer.

Love Yo Faces. Enjoy Your Week.

Live My Life. (On Tap 100!)

Allo Hello people of the interwebs!

It has been a crazy yet eventful few days for yours truly and through out all the insanity I feel very refreshed along with sides of determination, humor, and a fresh start.

From working graveyards, watching futbol (MERICA!), to hanging out with the misses and pals, and even behind close doors bettering myself...I feel like I'm ready to handle another week load with a wider smile.

Don't let negativity and bad moments mentor you daily decisions.

What I mean by that is simple...live YOUR life. When something negative happens such as being low on funds, you get a ticket, best friend is being a douche, or anything else that can get you ticked off...do not let that infect you to the point that you can't live your life to the fullest.

Drop the bullshit at the door and keep it moving. You ain't got no time for that.

This is your life and you deserve to live it to the fullest; So go do it.

Enjoy Your Week. Love Yo Face.
