Rise and Shine! Friday Is Upon The Horizon!

Scrolling through notes, charts, and computer screens.
While the beats of today are booming in theme.
Everything seems to be molding into place,
And that grin is increasing too.
As you rip a new day of the calendar...
(Rips) It's Friday. Who knew?!?!!

Friday has arrived!
Cool kids call it an "instant win".
Some say "TGIF!"
Others just call it by her proper name.
Whatever language or word combo you use...
Yell it loud and rejoice!
For today is a great day to lift your voice!

Tis' be the day that we have prayed to come,
We've clawed through the gauntlet,
Ran through obstacle courses,
Scurried through unknown waters,
Even got our hands dirty climbing some rough terrain.
The forecast may have thrown some heavy rain.
Some suffered downpour all week.
On this day, we shall not weep.
Cause it's Friday...weeping is for the weak.

No on this day, it calls for celebration.
From TD celebrations in the college endzone,
To the 5:00 clock-out moonwalks.
It's time for the weekly party to kick-off,
Just in time for prime-time.

Here's to another beautiful Friday.
Now quick. Throw me a lime.

Cheers!

The Daily: A Winning Attitude.

Only a few more hours until Cheers! time...Hang In There!
Allo Hello guys and gals of the interwebs. Welcome to Thursday; because unfortunately Hump Day can't last forever. Anywho...this version of the Daily will be discussing about something that is a key to everyone's existence in a sense: attitude.

You ever been around a room full of people and their attitude flat-out sucks? Have one of your friends tried to infect you with their rotting attitude due to an unfortunate circumstance? Has life in general basically giving you the finger in attempts to make you frown upside down?

All of these are rhetorical questions because I'm confident that we all can answer yes to all the above. I'm not a fan of altered attitude that spit out hell-fire and brimstone; yes there are some days in our lives that something doesn't goes right or a catastrophe happens and we are bit salty for a chunk of time.

That's understandable.

However, walking around this 3rd rock with an attitude that came straight out from the depths of hell, treating others like salty garbage when all they did was say Hello along with just being basically a shitty person...is not okay.

Shape up the attitude and you in a sense shape up your foundation and work rate; you have lifting spirit, you're gonna work hard and rep better rewards for yourself. A down in the dumps attitude will lead you going as far down like the stock market on Wall St crashing down with no recession money helping you.

Today, when things go south just take a step back, shake it off, and get back to being you; don't let the electrons infect your protons with negative charges. Whatever you think and how your attitude is shaped up basically shows what your about.

Do you want to be a winner or a loser?
Then have a winning attitude.

"Choosing to be positive and having a grateful attitude is going to determine how you're going to live your life."

-Joel Osteen

I'm Back! (And I Brought Quotes!)

Deli is Happy...and why not?? It's Hump Day!!
Allo Hello people of the interwebs! It is Wednesday aka the 3rd day from the sun aka the middle of the barrel aka Hump Day!!!

Whoop! Whoop!

Haven't written on the blog here in a few days...don't worry I found my way back. Thank the holy one for a favorites tab on Google Chrome...anywho...things are looking up for myself in the past couple of days. Did surprisingly well on my mid-term exam (200 questions...really?!?) along with spending some down time relaxing, working out here and there, and hitting the soccer field. So yeah...current mood = excellente.

Hopefully everything on your side of the Earth is going smoothly. After all, Hump Day should bring a smile to all of your cute faces. Ahh...I see that grin on your face! Don't hide it! Let it Shine Shine Shine!

Plans for the rest of the week...keep working hard, be aware of opportunities to better one self, and above all else...just have some fun. Don't overlook all the stuff that you have to get accomplished before week's end and zone out on just taking a few steps back and doing something that's not work related as entertaining. Put down the stapler and keyboard and pickup a controller, a basketball, a golf club, a guitar...something!!!

Now then if you excuse me...I got to find something to wear before strolling into the inner workings of the city. Also need to fix this bed hair...or lack there of...

And now...Quote Times Tres!

Viva La Hump Day!
(Kazie's Daily Musical: "Headlines" by Drake)

Lyrical Spiritual 10.

Congrats. You've Made It Home.
You have done well.
Just a couple of meters away.
The finish is on your radar.
Yet your current pace? Go faster.

The music gets turned up a bit,
The cheers are louder,
Faster.
So close...

The incline is getting unbearable.
Keep pushing.
Everything is starting to shut-down.
Keep moving.

You don't want to get this far
And press quit with the finish moment away.
Especially with the party zone,
Mixed with refreshments awaiting your stay.

I can see the checkered flag,
Finish strong, use that core.
It's creeping closer...
Push.
Closer..
PUSH!

The tape breaks,
The confetti is let loose.
Fireworks have lighten up the day.

Congrats my friends.
You have made it to Friday.

Cheers!

The Daily: The Weatherman.

It's Gonna Rain!!! Thanks Ollie...
Ahh the weather forecast. Sometimes it has sunshine, other times it brings heavy rains to your front door.

One of my good co-workers and I started chatting during the busy workday morning about motivational type stuff. He brought up a rather interesting statement that he lives by during our conversation...

Be Your Own Weatherman.

At first I was a tad confused by the saying as I'm assuming most of you are as you continue reading this post. Fortunately, he explained it further and it made perfect sense; you have the control over what your forecast looks like during the day. Not as in you have the power to control the actually weather (unless you're Mother Nature and if that's the case...bring me some sunrays!!!)

What I mean is that you control your own forecast as to what you show and do out in the world. If your forecast sucks, then no matter what you do you're gonna have heavy rains everywhere you go; might want to stay away from electrical equipment that day. You're angry, grumpy, irritated and that leads your forecast to have some thundering booms that could throw a few lightning strikes on your path to really guide you off-course.

Yet you can make your forecast look bright and sunny with a good attitude, a hard working etiquette, and keep pushing yourself towards your dreams and goals. Yes, there will be some days on filled with floods, tornadoes, acid rain, and all other sorts of natural disasters that try to ruin your 7 day forecast. That doesn't mean the weather will always stay rocky like that unless you let it because you have the power, no one else.

So what does your forecast look like this week?
Got clear blue skies today or are you saving that for the weekend?

Whatever the weather is, make sure it's something you can work with.

Be Your Own Weatherman.

Love Yo Face. Enjoy Thursday.

"Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine."

-Anthony J. D'Angelo

Feeling Good, Feeling Great.

Soccer's surrounding my cranium. Can't You Tell??
Allo Hello people of the interwebs and welcome to another Hump Day! Hump Day!

All together...Whoop! Whoop!

Yes! We have made it to the checkpoint of the week if you will. Some might be cruising through the days on a flagship, others may have come out the gates right but stumbled in the later parts of the course, and other just flat out false start and looking to make up ground. Whatever the case may be for you personally, you must be doing something right because you have arrived at the mid-point.

For this guy, I'm right above the clouds currently. Just recently won my 2nd championship as goalkeeper for my team's division and I may be feeling a little PUMPED about it. Especially with the fact that it's back to back titles and it's only my 3rd season playing goalkeeper in this league...

...Not that I'm bragging or anything. Clearly.

But yeah! I'm a tad bit excited! Maybe a little injured with some battle scars and few stiff joints but hey...worth it because I got the win. So Wednesday let's what you got!

And of course the lovely 3rd Day trio for your viewing quotable pleasure!

"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do."
-Pele

"If a team wants to intimidate you physically and you let them, they've won."
-Mia Hamm

"If you believe in your abilities, put in the long hours of work and sacrifices, and when it's time to just do it you leave it all out there...that my friends separates a contender from a champion."

Viva La Hump Day!

Whoa. Monday Already? (On Tap 109)

Rise. A New Week has Appeared.
Allo Hello people of the interwebs! Kazie here once again on another Monday as a new week has come to our front door and eagerly waiting for us to hit that start button!

Hopefully you have a working controller...

The weekend went by pretty quickly if I say so myself; hope that each of you enjoyed it in some form of another during your 3 day getaway. Mine was jammed pack! It involved building some furniture, a few hours on the open road, and of course Twitter and the BPL. (Barclay's Premiere League...soccer reference 'Mericans) Was a great kick-off to the start of the new season with NBC Sports doing quite a phenomenal job coverage wise of every match!

And I mean EVERY match!

As an extra bonus for me: Liverpool won their first match against Stoke! (Go REDS!) It was awesome looking on Twitter and chit chatting with other lads and gals about the coverage and other BPL matches; even got a few new followers! Although that Arsenal-Aston Villa game...have not seen so many irate Arsenal fans hitting Tweet! at one time ever...but yeah! was a great weekend for this soccer guy.

And now...Monday has arrived. Time to freshen up, clean up that epic beard, straighten out that bed hair, hop in the shower and freshen up yourself. There is a little bit of a drizzle around my parts of the world but that's not gonna ruin my parade.

Even got a drum-line for such a Monday occasion.

Look at you objectives at what must be done this week...and go do them. Matter of fact...annihilate them! Whatever it is that you do, you should do your best either way.

So let's get out there and see what Monday has in store of us.
Bring your A++ game and go conquer that course.

Love Yo Face. Conquer Monday.

Lyrical Spiritual 9.

Just let it run and raise the bass.
For Friday has arrived here on the case.
A few days ago you were down for the count.
Now he has risen and is on top for the mount.

It's sunny side-up day mixed with lols and good cheers.
And of course for those fortunate, a few cold beers.
The weekly rotation of objectives and deadlines.
As your hair gets grabbed and ripped from the hairline.

The forecast called for heavy drainage with booms of drama.
From co-workers, enemies, friends..even your own mama.
But you made it through the storm, no raincoat and all.
With a drenched attire but accomplished and standing tall.

Miracles have happened, blood was shed.
Avoiding the boulders crushing you cold and dead.
Climbing the mountain with heavy terrain.
Creeping closer and closer to the top.

On this 5th day you stand tall on the peak.
Accomplished, alive, an underdog with the W.
You worked hard, played even harder.
The insanity is lurking.
With all your haters hurting.

Cheers mate. You've done it again.
It's time for a weekly celebration.
Now fire the grill and let the treble flow.

I've got all this beer, now let's just go!
Cheers.

Can't Stop. Won't Stop.

Still Gotta Climb That Weekly Mountain Of Yours. Don't Stop Now.
Allo Hello lovelys. Guess what day it is??? Guess what day it is??? According to the camel next to my keyboard, today is hump day.

Woop! Woop!

This week has been challenging for myself but I've made it to the midpoint without pleading insanity. However, the week has given me some rewards such as moving my mid-term back another week.

Umm....awesome!

And during my free time I've been clickty and clackity with my keyboard and mouse on Photoshop while scrolling around Facebook, reading Tweets, and jammin' to iTunes and after about an hour of good times I somehow created this:

Just my version of a dedication to Mr. Ryan Kopacsi as he is going through negotiations to stay as VCU's Pep Band Director. Great guy...deserves to still cause HAVOC on the sidelines along with The Peppas.

But Yeah! Hump Day is here! So here is your weekly trio of quotable awesomeness!

"Being cool is being your own self, not doing something that someone else is telling you to do."
-Vanessa Hudgens

"It's insecurity that is always chasing you and standing in the way of your dreams."
-Vin Diesel

"Whether you like me or you don't, I still dig showing up for work."

Viva La Hump Day!

And Then It Was Monday! (On Tap 108)

Your ship is coming. Better get ready.
Allo Hello people of the interwebs. Hope you guys had an awesome, brilliant, and smashing weekend that y'all thoroughly enjoyed in one form of another. This guy worked through all of his; and I had so much of it that I had a nice little nap after I clocked-out.

For about 15 hours...

No complaints here. It was a quite a busy work schedule for myself but as my typing can show I'm feeling pretty good; and as refreshed as pressing the F5 button on this keyboard 5 consecutive times!

And getting paid is always a nice thing.

Alas, Monday is here! Which also is the start of a new week of challenges, showdowns, triumphs, failures, growth, and experiences for all. As fantastic as it would be for me to finish typing this post, spell check and then send it out to the world followed by laying back down and hibernating in my bed for the next 15 hours...unfortunately I have responsibilities to fulfill today.

Plus I have trouble getting my daily 8 hours of sleep anyway so I can't imagine actually sleeping for a full 30 straight...that's just scary with a side of comfortable...

Anywho...let's all freshen ourselves up and look good, feel good as we step out the front door and make Monday an awesome day. Yeah...I said Monday and awesome day in the same sentence.

It can happen if you think it. Delete the negatives, Develop the positives.

Hmm...what to listen to on the walk towards the city today? (iPod shuffle activated!)

Love Yo Face. Make Monday Awesome! Have A Great Day & Week!

Lyrical Spiritual 8.

We Made It To The End. We Made It.
As I sit here on this ledge,
Calves surrounded by the summer waters.
The sun shining over my body.
And the breeze of summer taking my breath away.

Do you know what today is lads?
It's a day for celebration.
For Friday has come back to us.
Looking as spiffy as ever.

It may have been an easy week for you
Maybe the difficulty increased with others
You made it through thick and thin.
The odds made you the underdog.
Yet...you still stand.

So join me.
Sit Back. Relax.
Well at least for intermission or two.
I'm gonna hop out.
For I have an event to attend to.

The water is lukewarm,
The temperature is near perfect.
You can find a beverage in the watering hole.

Congrats.
You did it again.

Cheers.

Critical Cinco!

The World Is Our Playground; Not Our Graveyard.
Allo Hello people of the interwebs! Kazie here once again reporting LIVE from Planet Earth here on this Thursday! We're one day away from Friday people! If that doesn't excite you a bit then you might really be dead inside...or just a mad hater with an despicable aftertaste.

Anywho...Thursday! Time for another version of Critical Thursday and for today's post, the thumping matter within my cranium came up with this question/thought to discuss:

What's Next?

Two punctuation marks, two simple words; and yet this simple use of grammar is a very powerful combination. What's Next? Could mean a variety of things to people...what's my next challenge? what's my next objective? what's my blood pressure? what's my lunch today? what my future?

Most of us are consumed over being ahead of the curve; figuring out what's next for us in a futuristic sense. Which isn't a bad move on anyone's part. I give a thumb's up (maybe even 2...) if someone is able to plan their whole life story and stick to that game-plan from the cradle to the grave. In order to get things done in this world, you need to create a blueprint. Not a complete third-dimensional figurine of your life filled with the shortcuts and slip-ups that you will have at age 28 and those golden moments in your later years...nah. However, setting a goal for yourself is the first step towards finding yourself and what you will ultimately become in the future.

The future is something good to plan for however sometimes we overlook what is already in front of us here and now; a handful of people are busy looking towards their future instead of living right here, right now. When we have a blurred vision, sometimes we miss golden opportunities that could eventually boost our chances to have a great future. For example, you're so focused on going to college and study your life away for 4-5 years yet you didn't spend anytime socializing with local students, going to a party or 5, attending a sporting event, or even talking to that guy or gal that had their eye on you in BIO 151. Experiences will help build you temple mentally, physically, and spiritually...the good, the bad, and the downright shitty...how else are you suppose to grow as a person besides studying organic chemistry at your desk?

Have some fun here in present day!

Speaking of shitty...that's what is always around the corner when we think about what's next; those moments that we try to avoid but just can't. Like one of my great psychology professor's said:

"Stress. Stress was part of your past, stress is part of your present, and stress will be part of your future."

Some of those stressful moments you will be able to recover very quickly; others might take a few days of healing wounds and patching lacerations in order to get back on your feet. As long as you get back up and keep moving forward then you are doing life right. There is nothing wrong with getting knocked down to the ground and getting curbed stomped a few times for added suffering; just get back up and go hard into the paint.

And maybe wear a helmet this time...

Everyone has a bright future ahead of them; all that varies is what you want to do, how do you want to do, and how much effort are you willing to give in order to turn that dream into reality. We all should have the mindset and will to be better every single day as a person; we all are human so we will have a slip-up or two here and there. As long as we get back up and chase after the trophy, the ring, the job, and the future that we want then you can get it and become a champion.

And then host an "I Made It!" party and invite me so we can cheers to your accomplishments.

So What's Next? That is entirely up to you.
Love Yo Face. Enjoy Thursday.

The Middle.

Nice eh?  Thank andreasrocha and his skill-set.
Allo Hello fellas and misses! We have arrived at yet another Hump Day (Whoop! Whoop!) also known as the middle, mid-point, 50% completion, or just Wednesday. In this corner of the universe it has been quite a productive race out the gates; still running this long weekly race but had to stop for a few water breaks in between. Don't want to get dehydrated and collapse on the course...that would be bad for myself and the other runners.

Anywho...Wednesday! Here are this week's trio of quotable goodness for you! Now I just need to change my attire, grab another water bottle, and get back on the track...I got a race to run.

And so do you. See you out there!

Viva La Hump Day!

Like A Boss. (On Tap 107)

Rise. Time to get back on the road..
Allo Hello people of the interwebs and welcome to a brand new week starting with the bestest (or worst-est) day...Monday.

Whoop! Whoop! Not included...

Hope that everyone out there enjoyed their weekend in some fashion or another; this guy did. Kicked back and watch a couple of sporting events, hung out with close ones, peeps, and strangers, and even did a cartwheel! Feeling a little energetic on the wake-up call this morning...an extra boost of energy is always a good find! Especially on Mondays since that may require a double dose.

Anywho...Monday is gonna be a good day. Why? Because I said so.

If you are the person that says Monday is gonna suck...then guess what? You're right. However if you leap to your feet and say that Monday isn't gonna be that bad...then guess what? You're right. Now here's the next paragraph to explain that sequence of basically repeating my own Q and A's.

Whatever you think inside that cranium is what the outcome is. Meaning that if you think negative about a new day, new blessing that you have awoken to and that it will be the worse thing to happen to you since the Cowboys winning the first NFL game of the year (OH THE INHUMANITY!!!) then yes...you're day will suck because your brain will be sending negative signals which will lead you to not be you but turn you into an emo, "I Hate The World", bitchy, and lazy version of yourself.

And we don't want that to happen do we?

Instead of looking at this new day, new week, new blessing as a nightmare...look at it as an opportunity. An opportunity to better yourself, create enjoyable memories, handle your business, and get things done like a boss!

Don't think like a peasant, think like a boss.

I'm not stating that on this Monday everything will go your way. There might be a setback or misfortune lurking behind the kitchen awaiting to appear for a slip-up or 2. But who cares when you are boss and you can handle that shit? It's time to prepare for Monday; I'll handle your calls during your bathroom/wardrobe trip.

Be confident, unfuckwittable, and above all else...A Boss.

Get out there and handle Monday.
Love Yo Face. Enjoy the Week.

107...!

Lyrical Spiritual 7

Pick Up The Ball And Go Hard Into The Paint.

Arise my friends, enemies, and unknown strangers.
For Friday has arrived along with cheerful dangers.
4 days have come and gone with 1 remaining.
And yet here you are still standing.

The reckless of Monday threw you a dirty haymaker.
Tuesday tagged in to hammer down your remains.
Wednesday with the fall-away-slam but you arised before 10.
And Thursdaydon’t let me get started on Thursday.

Place in a handicap match; Odds not in your favor.
But yet…here you are thanks to your will and savior.
Mishaps, drama, and flops with every corner.
Even got knocked down as hard as the local stoner.
With all this misfortune comes reward.
For staying the course and fighting to the end.

Friday has arrived. A sunny ally in a world of chaos.
Refueling your soul, igniting your physical presence.
Take this day and run with it.
You have by God earned it.
Cheers my friends.

We have made it once again.
Cheers.

(P.S. I still got it. :P)
