A Motivational Alternative

Lyrical Spiritual 66

As I drag my feet across that halls through the clutter that's spread on the floor.
Step by step with no feeling as I made it upstairs.
With a glaze on the doors ahead while picking out my hair.
After making it to my destination, the darkness upon the opening greets me with it's glare.

Back inside here like a reunion that took a few years.
Flicking on the lights and see how much I stuffed inside here.
Picking up items that took me back in time.
Where I was just a boy, not knowing what in the world I was doing.

Taking a seat in the chair. Letting the environment consume me.
I've found my safe haven. Relaxed and filled with glee.
Or is that fear. Doubt. The unknown.
Is this even me? I don't know anymore.

When I don't feel like nothing's work, I just retreat to this room.
Just sitting here. Alone. Letting the pain consume.
Sometimes I just want to make a short stay then it turns into weeks.
I guess that's what happens when you put a light upon the anger in me.

Haha. See this is how life works for some.
They live, let the anger build with no release until they become none.
Rage can be a killer. Literally.
Hence why I have this room so I can disconnect spiritually.

Beyond these walls lie my others emotions and thoughts.
In my confinement, this is where I scream and shout.
See anger is part of my original blueprint since I first Press Start.
After figuring out it's coding, we are a unit known to leave a few marks.

Now we can get out of line. It's an intense emotion all it's own.
Adding that with a mindset and it become a supernova full blown.
No one understands why. And they never will.
How can you control? Just run over that hill.

Go into your room and take a look inside.
Do you like what you see or will shrivel up and hide?
There's a dark side to everyone. We all have flaws.
Whether you like to hide it or show it off on the walls.

It's alright, it's ok.
Your rage can become your ally.
Wishing is not enough. You have to open the door.

Take a breath. Then go inside and settle the score.

Cheers!

Lyrical Spiritual 65 (Never Forget)

On this day 14 years ago lives were changed.
An act of cowardice left an entire nation maimed.
As the towers that stood towards the New York skies came crashing down.
Thousands of people gone. Families broken. A country wearing a frown.

Within that moment of chaos and turmoil,
The United States of America chose not to fold.
When the cries of terror and help screamed from the scene,
We rushed straight into the depths looking to help anyone at the scene.

Lives were lost.
Families shed tears.
Friends said prayers.
Bystanders stood in mourning.

Through the fire and the flames we carried on.
A warzone was in front of us. We marched right in.
Cries and screams of our neighbors. We broke the walls down.
We Do Not Back Down.

14 Years Later. We're still standing.

So for today, think about where you were when you got that breaking news.
Your reaction when you turned the channel and saw the horrific images.
We are the United States of America: The Greatest Country on Earth.

And we will not let cowards define what this country truly is.

Special Condolences to those affected by the acts on September 11th, 2001. May those that lives were lost on that dark day and those families who lost someone special rest in peace and let their spirits live on.

Love > Hate.

Cheers!
