I know you're waiting and you're so damn nervous I know you're hoping that I could explain this Look in my eyes I will try and show you
Rains is a independent rock band coming out of the state of Indiana in 2000. However, they didn't really get that much recognition on the bigger stage until 2009 when their debut album, Stories, was released. Since then they have gotten some airtime on the radio and an awesome opportunity to open the North American Share the Welt Tour in 2011.
When I listened to "Look In My Eyes" for the 1st time out of the 87 times I played it on repeat consecutively (Yes, I'm being serious!) I was blown away in every sense of those two words.
How did you want me to feel when I see you trying Trying so hard to fit in To the world you are buying
Listening to the lyrics come off the microphone through the speakers and into my ears is nothing short of incredible and moving. Mix that with a great combination of not-so-heavy guitar riffs, bass, and drums and you got a great piece of art you're listening to.
I love it. Hence why I'm now currently listening to this song on play-through number 91. ;)
Their debut album is available now and I'm taking a serious consideration of getting a copy after being so impressed hearing their first song on Stories. Definite a recommendation from me if you are looking for some good rock n roll to add to your music library.
And...it will be added to the MotiTunes! Library when you return for your listening pleasure!
I know you're thinking that you should have been there I know you're thinking that no one cares Just look in my eyes I will try and show you
I blame my Wrestlemania hangover for this entry haha. But after hearing it on the mic from John Cena, I had to share it.
Because I think it is a very motivational quote from the guy. He is one of the most entertaining professional wrestlers ever and has transcended the industry to new heights in the WWE. The guy stares hatred in the face every single day from fans around the globe; sometimes in hostile environments wanting his head on a platter.
However, here he stands. Happy to be there, with a smile on his face.
Which is what people need to learn how to do...rise above hate.

I do what the T-shirt says. I rise above. And here's the kicker...
Been a rather busy couple of days ending this week of fun and academic success. After a few tests, papers, and lectures later...I finally reached the end of the week. Woot!
Things kicked off well with spending some time with friends that involved food, drinks, a porch, and Kings; never a bad combo on a Thursday night.
The fun should continue with myself getting ready to run a 10k on Saturday and other sources of entertainment throughout the weekend.
You guys and gals take care of yourselves! And if it's as bea-UTIFUL as it is here in RVA, go out and enjoy it! I know I sure have this week and will continue to due so as such.

It's all about quality of life and finding a happy balance between work and friends and family.
"Without fun, your life is meaningless. Without friends, your life means nothing. Without passion, you're just wasting a breath. Without meaning, you shouldn't exist."
