Motives On Tap 21

It's Thursday on this beautiful day on Planet Earth. Unless you are some sort of alien species reading my blog on Neptune...if you are, what's up!!!

For this daily On Tap I decided to do a special one for Iron Mike Tyson considering that today is his birthday!! He's one of my idols in the sport world; yeah, he had some bad times in his life but he was born a fighter and really turned his life around.

So happy B-Day to Mike Tyson!! And to you all...Enjoy Your Day!!!

Also, if you are celebrating a B-Day today, special wishes to you upon my behalf!
Save a slice of cake for me! :)

Today's words of Motivation...

Each minute we have here is a blessing.

Motives On Tap 19

There's something about the 2nd day that makes it easier than the 1st.
Maybe since you just warmed up or your fully focused on your weekly task.

Or it could possibly be that 4th cup of coffee of yours was extra strong...

Whatever it is, make an impact. After all, most of society hates Mondays, not Tuesdays.

Enjoy yours.

Mondays are usually the most difficult to handle,
Tuesdays handles the light load Monday forgot to dish out.
Wednesdays should dry this off later...

Oh Tuesday. How did I survive Monday?
Well Monday was fast...a little too fast for me. But I'm not complaining.

Work was a breeze, then went out for a nice lunch with the lady, and gym flow that night.

What does Tuesday have in store for you and I? Only one way to find out.

Happy Exploration! Here's today's On Tap from Bad Meets Evil.

The last time that life kicked me in the ass,

MotiTunes!: Bad Meets Evil

"I'm Livin' Life in the Fast Lane. Pedal To The Metal." -Bad Meets Evil

Bad Meets Evil? Sounds like Hitler meeting Hades in the 8th circle of Hell.

Now as hellacious of a combo that sounds, I think the combo of Eminem and Royce Da 5'9" will give this previous duo stated a run for its money as which combo is the most deadly. Bad Meets Evil is one of those hip hop groups from the retro days of the hip hop underground scene.

First verse, uh, I'm armed til' I'm on an island,
My life's ridin' on the autobahn on autopilot.

This duo has been around for awhile and had it's up and downs. Eminem and Royce met each other through the Detroit native and friend of both men, Proof of D12. They created a very dark version of music chemistry with heavy bass, dark yet creative lyrics, and a vibe that will have other artists crawl away in fear if they rubbed them the wrong way.

As Eminem started to get more mainstream, Bad Meets Evil took a back seat and broke up with Eminem focusing more on his solo career with Dr. Dre and D12 while Royce went with another hip hop group known as Slaughterhouse. It's been about 10 years since Eminem and Royce teamed up with their album, Nuttin' To Do, and if you thought that left a death tone in your ears...wait til you hear Hell: The Sequel.

You morons think that I'm a genius
Really I belong inside a dang insane asylum
Came to drive them trailer parks crazy
I am back, and I am razor-sharp, baby.

First and foremost, this is not for the kids. This is straight up as raw as hip hop gets with it's lyrical prowess and explicit language. So keep the little ones away. I love this album not just because it's Royce and Eminem; it's they're lyrical chemistry that has listeners hooked. Almost every song feels as if you are watching them battle each other until the end of the song then you decide the winner. It's amazing to think that Eminem could find a partner that is as insane in the membrane both lyrically and mentally; thankfully he found that in Royce.

I like the song "Fast Lane" the most since it sounds great and motivates people to live the life they have to the fullest. Other great songs I enjoyed are "Above The Law", "I'm On Everything", and "Echo". Now they released an EP for this album which I enjoyed, but that was a great tease the full album which is in stores now!

Finish your week strong people. And remember...you only live once. :)

Livin' life in the fast lane.
Movin' at the speed of life and I can't slow down.
Only got a gallon in the gas tank.
But I'm almost at the finish line, so I can't stop now.

Wow...what a Monday.
Spend mine working and covering the 1st day of E3. I'm quite tired physically but mentally I'm as happy as Mario finding a Gold Star in Super Mario 64.

Day 2 of this electronics madness should be even better. High Hopes!

Enjoy your Tuesday, if you are in need of a 1UP I hope you find one in the fridge.

And now for today's On Tap!

Life is Short. Stunt It.

Motives On Tap 8

Happy Monday folks!
I'm starting off with watching E3 coverage because...well I'm a geek. So should be a great start for me along with work and other random things.

Hope your Monday is a success. Here's today's On Tap!

MotiTunes!: I'm On One

"All I care about is money and the city that I’m from. I’ma sip until I feel it, I’ma smoke it till it’s done. And I don’t really give a f#!k, and my excuse is that I’m young. And I’m only getting older so somebody shoulda told ya. I'm on one." -Drake

There maybe a shed of light on hip hop.

Hip hop as a music genre has had phenomenal highs back in the day for it's unreal lyrics, monstrous bass, and gritty attitude from it's golden years.

Recently it's been basically S.O.S. (same old shh..) and people such as myself that loved hip hop to the deaths was looking elsewhere genre-wise since hip hop wasn't fresh in this new generation.

The majority of new "rappers" in the game usually are one hit wonders and that's it. They mostly rap about the same thing over and over and over again and leaving a sour taste in their mouths while leaving me with a burning eardrum in desperation of cleaning out all the B.S. that entered into it.

Walking on the clouds, suspended in thin air,
Do ones beneath me recognise the red bottoms I wear.

Fortunately, they're are a group of artists that hustle and thrive on being the best. Artists that don't want to be in the spotlight for a moment; they make it their goal to keep that light shinning forever.

One of those of artists is DJ Khaled.

DJ Khaled is one of my favorite DJs not just because he creates great music but he settles on nothing but the best when it comes to music. If it doesn't sound great, he doesn't send it out. He worked hard as an up-and-coming DJ coming out of Dade County into become one of the most respected names in hip hop today. And with the assists of artists such as Drake, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, T-Pain, Birdman, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross....it's no wonder that he strives for perfection.

Now for the MotiTune...I'm On One.

Ohhh, I’m about to go Andre the Giant.
You a sell out, but I aint buying.

I like this song since the beat is well done and not crazy on the bass but still sounds well produced. Plus, the lyrics by Drake, Lil Wayne, and Rick Ross are very vocal. They spit about hustling to the top, working hard, and celebrating when you've reached the top. It's clear that in order to have success according to them, you have to put in the work. Hence why when they get back to work they still smell like a vacation.

Another hit by DJ Khaled. After all...they are the best. Take a Listen.

MotiTunes!: Beautiful People

"Everywhere that I’ve been, The only thing I see is beautiful people. Beautiful people." -Chris Brown

Chris Brown has been through quite a stage in his young but potentially legendary career as an music artist.

He started from the country side of Tappahanock and boosted into super-stardom gaining millions of fans with his incredible dance moves and creativity both with his words and feet.

Then it took a turn for a worse when himself and Rihanna had their tabloid blowup of a "relationship". From there he traded his fame for community service and loads of hate from the media and fans for the strike that was heard around the world. Talk about a fall.

Since then, he has been focused on rebuilding his image as a good person and a hard-working music artist by putting in the hours and massive amounts of effort and craftsmanship in order to perfect it. His most recent album,
F.A.M.E., seems to show that he's back in the spotlight...for the right reasons.

But enough about his bio since I'm pretty sure most of you know about him lol. On to this MotiTunes entry!!!

"Beautiful People" is a very inspirational track with Benny Benassi helping out to make this such a soothing track on the ears. It's about living your life, taking your time, and just being around beautiful people. Which everyone deserves to be doing. Now by beautiful it means to me people that enjoy living. Whether it's chilling with friends on the couch, a night on the town, playing games, whatever. Just people that are beautiful and joyous to be around. That is pretty beautiful.

I love this track! Reminds me of a dance track you would here at the local club scene with people movin' and groovin' to until last call.

Simply Beautiful. Take a Look & Listen.
