Memorial Day (On Tap 65)

A special happy Memorial Day to those that help served in our Armed Forces and paid the ultimate price for their heroics.

Wishing everyone a blessed day with family, friends, loved ones, or even if your spending it by yourself.  Hope it's a great one and take some time to thank those that help protect you and this country.

And they who for their country die shall fill an honored grave, for glory lights the solider's tomb, and beauty weeps the brave.

Friday? It's Here? (PicTivation)

This would be awesome...if I actually drank coffee lol.

But alas...Happy Friday!!!
Enjoy your weekend!!!

Smile. (On Tap 64)

For some reason I just woke up with a smile already implanted on my face...
And that's not a bad thing.

What is up people of the interwebs? Another day of work, humor, deadlines, fun, and randomness is in store for myself and probably about 90% of the world population as well. Don't forget your smiles...you might need some extras in case you find a sad face lurking around.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Don't forget to brushen up those teeth a little more...gotta make that smile sparkle!

64...!

Don't let life bring you down, no. There is always something about yours that can easily bring a smile to your face. :)

Thunder Up! (On Tap 63)

So today is already a good day when you Beat LA!

Thanks to this guy that is shown on your screen (Kevin Durant) along with some help from Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, James Harden, and many other players...the Thunder were able to defeat the Lakers 4-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals.  Now one more series separates them from a title shot to become NBA champions.

Because of this excitement around Loud City...today's On Tap comes from a quote made by KD that I think works both on and off the court.

Happy Tuesday people!
Thunder Up!!!

I've learned what it feels like to lose, believe me. But I think, in the end, that is just going to make winning that much better.

Prepare For Battle (On Tap 62)

It's Monday. Prepare for battle.

It creeps in like a thief in the night,
Without a sign, without a warning.
But we are ready and prepared to fight,
Raise up your swords, don't be afraid.

PicTivation: Honestly...

Don't Quit, Do It.

I have had sleepless nights.
I have had prayers unanswered.
I have been dirt poor.
I have been burnt out.
I have had numerous tasks at once.
I have had the odds against me.
I have sweat gallons.
I have bleed buckets.
I have been broken in half.
I have been trampled into the mud.
I have been betrayed.
I have been sucker punched.
I have made mistakes.
I have missed opportunities.
I have missed chances.
I have risked it all.

And throughout it all...

The words "I Quit" never crossed my mind.

PicTivation: Stress

A boy crumbles from stress,
A man can take some punches.
And I've been getting sucker-punched for a long time.
Life's been beating the s&!t out of me, mentally and physically.
But life is one big f*%king joke, so I'm laughing inside.

New Week, New Beginnings (On Tap 61)

It's a new week of memories, fun times, hard work, and opportunity! And it's right at your feet awaiting your first few steps.

What's up good people? After celebrating Cinco De Mayo with little time I had over the weekend I'm feeling alright; awaiting to get this week started!

Targeting my priorities, revving up my engines, and attacking full force!!!

Enjoy your Monday (I know...easier than done right?)... got 3 more exams then I'm finished with my semester. Maybe I'll treat myself to something nice at the end of the week...because I'll deserve it after taking 6 exams lol.

Finish strong!

Let's GO!!!

The Final Stretch...

This is how I feel currently after another study session...you guessed it, finals are here!!! Joy...

Besides the crunch time of trying to re-learn everything that your professor said months ago and all the cramming you can get in the library to be prepared...everything else is going well for myself.

Enjoying the usual being goofy, hanging out with friends, running around in circles...you know, the usual.

Returned from the Sweetlife Music Festival in Maryland and it was one hell of a good time! Besides the drizzle, that was the only negative about the whole experience...and that's a small negative.  Still enjoyed listening to sets from The Shins, A$AP Rocky, Explosions in the Sky, Kid Cudi, Avicii, and plenty of more musical acts.  As an extra bonus, there was a lot of food to indulge...and I took in my fair share of the amazingness.

Hence why I think a visit to the local gym is in order lol.

Other than that...just being a studious college student attempting to prepare for finals.  I know I'm not the only one in this "fun" situation.  Here are a few tips that could possibly turn that D into a high B study wise.

*Take breaks during your study sessions. Nothing like studying for 8 straight hours then come test time...you forget everything.  Study for a good 2 hours then take a break for around 30 minutes then jump back into it.  Your brain needs a break...give it one.

*Cut off the Internet.  Now I know this is difficult with nearly everything having 3G access now-a-days but cut it when studying.  No Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, nada.  Less distractions from the digital world, the better.

*Don't Over-Do It.  Waiting til the last minute to study 20 chapters is not a good plan.  Do your best to study each day for a certain amount of time.  If you make a plan to study for at least 2-3 hours before your exam, your confidence will skyrocket. And so will your grade.

Alright, that should help....my break is up. Diving back into the books.

Good luck on your Finals!!!
