Party in South Beach (On Tap 72)

LeBron finally gets a ring...it's about time.

NBA Finals wrapped up with a dominating performance shown by the Heat as they won Game 5 over the Thunder to win the series 4-1.  Unfortunately, I have to give Miami credit because they stepped up big time on the biggest stage in basketball.  That was their best performance as a team that I've seen from the squad down in South Beach all season.  Stings that OKC was unable to hold the championship high this year, but they will be back soon enough and have their turn...you can bank on that.

I must give a lot of credit to LeBron this season. He actually matured a lot during the playoffs which was shocking and was more focused on getting the job done this year.  As painful as it to say...the better team won.  Ow... Well that's one championship that LeBron promised Miami; I think he has about 7 more to go.

And today is Friday!?! I don't think South Beach is going to survive this weekend with all the partying that's going down in celebration lol.

Fun times ahead for myself this weekend. Definitely going to enjoy mine; you better do the same. Hey, just looking out for ya. :)

Let's all have some fun this weekend...can't let have South Beach have all of it!

Cheers.

73...!

Ask me to play. I'll play.
Ask me to shoot. I'll shoot.
Ask me to pass. I'll pass.
Ask me to steal, block out, sacrifice, lead, dominate.
ANYTHING.

But it's not what you ask of me.
It's what I ask of myself.

Thunder! (On Tap 66)

The Thunder are heading to the NBA Finals!!!

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is still buzzing with excitement as their young franchise did what critics and experts believed was impossible for a team full of young and inexperienced talent on a stage this big.  With the San Antonio Spurs leading 2-0 in the series, the Thunder had to dig deep in order to change the tide.

And did they ever.

Winning 4 straight games in the Western Conference Finals to clinch the West; that is mind-blowing.  Especially when they won Game 5 on the road at the AT&T Center to take the series lead 3-2 and headed back to Loud City to end it all in high fashion.  Now OKC can celebrate and relax for a little while as they await their opponent  from the East as the Celtics and Heat battle it out for the Eastern Conference Championship.

Looking at this young team mature throughout the Playoffs has been an absolute joy to watch.  It also shows that you can succeed as the underdog in life if you just work hard, don't lose focus on your objective, and believe that you can do it.

Now I gotta save some pennies to get one of those NBA Finals Thunder caps...

Today's quote for On Tap comes from Thunder head coach Scott Brooks. Who says that he has one of the best jobs on Earth; and I agree with him fully.

Congrats to OKC!
Thunder Up!!!

66...!

When you get punched, you have to get up. You have no other choice. If you don't, you're not going to grow, you're not going to get better as a player.

Thunder Up! (On Tap 63)

So today is already a good day when you Beat LA!

Thanks to this guy that is shown on your screen (Kevin Durant) along with some help from Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, James Harden, and many other players...the Thunder were able to defeat the Lakers 4-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals.  Now one more series separates them from a title shot to become NBA champions.

Because of this excitement around Loud City...today's On Tap comes from a quote made by KD that I think works both on and off the court.

Happy Tuesday people!
Thunder Up!!!

I've learned what it feels like to lose, believe me. But I think, in the end, that is just going to make winning that much better.
