A Motivational Alternative

Lyrical Spiritual 26

Hey Look It's Friday.
The sign showing that I defied the odds.
Looking six feet deep, you won't find anything there.
Because I stand here.

I stand here as a survivor.
After going through the weekly meat grinder.
Life may not be great now, but it's much improved.
Walking and searching for the next objective to do.

I love making the negativity feel uneasy.
Mutating the darkness and turning into positivity.
Watching these hoes cringe and a-holes lurk to the back.
Hiding in the black from my next lethal attack.

Can't deny the shine of Jedi.
Even if your name begins with Darth,
The Princess says that I'm her only hope.
So now the darkness shall bow to my force choke.

You can't fuck with an unstoppable force,
Especially one without a filter.
I may seem warm outside but the temperature decreases once you step within.
I'm a hungry vicious animal and it's feeding time. I want my meat.
Eat, Sleep, Conquer, Repeat.

By the time you read this, I've already logged out.
Enjoying the skies and the open road.
To you I wish you a joyful Friday.
Along with an eventful weekend.

For the weekly celebration is about to begin.

Cheers!

Less Snow, More Humping.

Get Ready. A New Day Of Humping Awaits.
Hey Hey! Allo Hello! And welcome to another smashing episode known as Wednesday aka the 3rd Day from the Start aka Hump Day!

Whoop! Whoop!

Whether your week is going along perfectly, above average, average, in a downward spiral or just down right shitty I'm sending some good vibes along with a pick me up in hopes that your new day of the week goes along swell.

For I it's been an eventful two days so I can't complain. Still doing that 30 Day Plank challenge and now I'm on Day 15 which means I gotta find time to do a plank for one minute and 30 seconds today. Maybe I'll do that at the gym today after I clock-out.

Bc that's an appropriate place for planking right??

It's also nice when the weather-man is wrong about the forecast; especially when he is calling for snow and points to your area of the map on the green screen. (Looks Out The Window) Welp, he got the temperature accurate, the snow not so much. I can deal with that human error haha.

Guess duty calls as my alarm keeps telling me to get out of bed.
Onward to the restroom to prepare for humping!

I'm gonna have an awesome day. I suggest you do the same.

And...here's this week's Quotable Trio!

"I'm the one that you were foretold about. I'm the one that you've been looking for."

The Daily: The Soccer Gauntlet

Did A Lot of This Yesterday.
Allo Hello people of the interwebs! Hopefully your new week of objectives has started off on the good foot as we get underway. I had this really good post in the workings for Monday but for some reason the Blogger app just decided to sleep on me uploading it. Grrr...it's okay...I'll just save it for another day.

Speaking of a day, Monday was definitely a day to say the least on the pitch. I was scheduled for two soccer league matches that night which turned into four. Consecutive matches. Was not scheduled for this change of events but hey this can't go bad right???

Yeah about that...

Things didn't go bad as in I injured myself thankfully but man-oh-man! running this soccer gauntlet definitely has it's affects when I woke up this morning. Fortunately my main match playing as goalkeeper went well as we forced a draw in a very physical match-up. The next two games after we were able to get two straight wins which showed I had the hot hands in goal on the night. The final match of the night I actually played on the field and somehow found the back of the net after a great assist.

Extra Bonus: I scored on one of my good friends/teammate which of course we had a pretty funny discussion once the whistle blew haha.

I have no idea what possessed me in goal but I seriously need to research it and probably make a clone of it so I can have those kind of performances weekly haha. Sometimes you just got to mentally get into a zone and just do your thing; clearly that worked out with some pretty incredible results Monday night.

Anywho, besides my lower body feeling completely useless Monday was a pretty good day. Thank the Baby Jesus I do not have work this morning or the struggle would definitely had been real.

Now to enjoy Tuesday. Highly recommend you do the same.

Today's Question: Can you go the distance to get what you set out to get?

"The favorite may have won the match on paper but that's why you play the game because the underdog just may be scrappy enough to pull off the upset against all odds."

The Daily: Finished My Bracket(s)!

It's Literally a couple hours away!
Allo Hello ladies and gents here on the Interwebs. Good vibes sent from my inbox to your inbox that this week has gone rather smoothly for you and those close and dear to your heartstings. However, if nothing exciting has happened in the last few days...fret not for MARCH MADNESS IS UPON US!

I'm a little excited. A little.

The most wonderful time of the year besides Christmas, New Year's, Boxing Day and the 4th of July is the beginning of March Madness. I finally got some sleep on my bracket picks and submitted mine; picked a few upsets this year early but seriously thinks it's going to come down to a few of the elite top seeds as to who leaves North Texas winning the National Title.

And yes like many I do have multiple brackets ironically named my Heart Bracket (what I hope happens), the Brain Bracket (what I think happens), the A-10 Fantasy Bracket (what may happen if the A-10 runs wild on everybody and everything) and my What If? Bracket (Spolier: VCU = National Champ)

Anywho...tip-off of the first game of the day happens at 12:15 where (11) Dayton takes on (6) Ohio State on CBS.

Just enough time for a quick trip to the gym.
Can't you tell I have basketball on the brain? Haha.

Have An Awesome Thursday!

Humping Assistance.

Did some damage to the court obviously...
Allo Hello Internet and welcome to das Hump Day!

Whoop! Whoop!

Feeling a bit on the sore and exhausted on this side of the pillow as my eyes opened up. I blame 7 straight basketball games which kept me running at the gym for about 3-4 hours straight.

But at least we won them all...right?

Ran with a really good squad of players and had a killer cardio workout in the process. Even when my team wanted to play one more, my legs had enough and tapped out even though my heart was ready for another round of action.

Anywho, that completely kicked 5 straight days of drinking right in the mouth. So I'm feeling closer to good form physically. Spiritually I'm on a high and mentally I have a few screws loose so we're all good over here.

Now where's my walker? Gonna need assistance getting to the restroom to get ready for Hump Day! Hahaha.
Have an awesome one.

And here is this week's Humpable Quotable Trio!

-Bette Midler

"In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision."

The Daily: Get Back In Form

My Best Friends This Week.
Allo Hello. I came to the conclusion last night after sprinting up and down the soccer field for 60 minutes of chasing, tackling and shooting...that I'm definitely out of shape haha.

Guess after 5 straight days of drinking this is no surprise...

So for Tuesday, my goal is to make a trip to the gym and hit the weight room to work and tweak a few things to get back into form. Or if all this snow/sleet mixture keeps making these roads out here as slick as 1960's hair gel, I might have to workout from home with the kettlebell.

And one, oomph!, and two, OOMPH!

Speaking of working out at home, I'm currently taking part of this 30 Day Plank Challenge I read about on Twitter. Currently I'm on Day 7 and it seems like a breeze the first couple of rounds if you've done planks before. Looking at when it gets to time limits of 1:30 all the way to 5 whole minutes doing a plank, it looks like the real challenge during these 30 Days is just up the road.

Think You Can Do All 30 Days? GO FOR IT!!
And on that healthy note, I'm going to eat breakfast since that's the most important meal of the day before making the run to the gym. Pop-Tarts for the win!!

Adios peeps and make Tuesday awesome!

Today's Question: A New Day of Challenges and Obstacles await you. Will you conquer them or will they conquer you?

Empire State Of Green? (On Tap 121)

Whew...twas' a fun couple of days in Brooklyn, Brooklyn!
Allo Hello people of the interwebs! It is yours truly back here on Moternative after partaking in a very entertaining weekend up North to say the very least.

For a couple of days, myself and some pretty rambunctious Rams from Ram Nation went up to New York to cheer on our boys in this year's Atlantic 10 tournament in the jaw-dropping Barclays Center up in Brooklyn.

So Pretty. Even Prettier On The Inside.
This year's tournament was definitely worth the price of admission as emotions were high, tempers flared on the sidelines and every team literally had a shot in hoisting up the trophy in celebration as this year's champion of the conference. Unfortunately for us as fans of the Rams, we came up short on Championship Sunday and Saint Joesph's were able to hold off HAVOC! just enough to get the win in a very physical contest in the A-10 finale.

Womp. Womp.

Indeed...I did let out a long, hard SIGH....after the final buzzer rang and the fireworks went off from the skies (wait...fireworks?!?! Yup.) as Saint Joesph's ran to center court realizing their bubble worries were over as they punched their ticket to the NCAA tournament; so did the Rams.

Womp...Wha???

Yup! VCU had a very special season this year and earned a 5th seed in this year's March Madness! Not going to lie...it was weird making the trip up 95 to the Empire State knowing regardless of what happens, VCU will be in; I blame the dramatic yet thrilling CAA days of ours haha. Speaking of March Madness...the Atlantic 10 will be represented well as SIX teams got their tickets punched to the dance. It's not so bad being a mid-major after all huh?

Along with getting my March college basketball fix before the main NCAA course tipped-off I also enjoyed chattering with Ram fans all over, having fun with the misses and friends being stupid from beer hall to beer hall, and speaking of beer...had a few boots.

Well maybe more than a few...

Oh yea...and re-introduced myself to NY Bagels. Gahhhh! So Good!
All and all it was an awesome weekend and a great way to ring in St. Patrick's Day! Which is today. Which is on Monday. So you have no excuses as to why Monday will not be an awesome one! Unless you don't partake in the downing of green beer...sad face...still even without the green beer on the table, today is going to be an awesome day if you let it.

And stop being so stressed out over stuff. You're awesome. I know I'm awesome. And awesomeness doesn't let hatred and all this snow/rain mixture falling around here ruin an awesome day in the making.

Speaking of which...I probably should clock in and get this work started. Tolls are expensive haha.

Today's Question: You have 24 hours. What are you going to do to make the time worth having?

"Hate is the child to greatness. So will you be it's parent or it's younger sibling?"

This Polar Vortex Makes For Cold Humps.

This White Stuff Needs To Exit Stage Left. Pronto.
Allo Hello people and man oh man! is it cold over here on Hump Day!

Whoop! Brrrr!

Fortunately it's not as chilly and cold and freezing as it was on Monday with all the snow and sleet everywhere falling down around the city. Loved waking up that morning and not seeing any snow when I first looked out the window then minutes later walking out the door and going "Oh Crap...".

And not because I forgot to put on pants...

Yeah the walk to work that morning was not so pleasant as the sleet basically threw all the haymakers it could in one round towards my face as I walked towards the doors of the office. And yet...I still made it to work on time that day. Achievement unlocked! Haha.

Anywho, it's gotten a tad bit warmer today and looking out the window it seems to not be playing tricks on me today. I swear if there is snow coming from the morning sky today when I open the door...

Have a great Hump Day everybody and stay warm!

Today's Question: Look where you are right now. What can you do today to better yourself tomorrow?

And here is flying in on a Zamboni like a mad-man is this week's quotable trio!
