A Motivational Alternative

Monday: Begin. (On Tap 163)

Monday Face? Haha.
Allo Hello!

Take advantage of the opportunity that is in front of you.

Even if that opportunity says Monday.

You gotta start someday.

Make It Today.

Right Here, Right Now.

"Windmill, windmill for the land
Turn forever hand in hand
Take it all in on your stride
It is sticking, falling down
Love forever, love is free
Let's turn forever you and me

Is everybody in?"

I've been living my life but it isn't fair...
Far from a realistic nonfiction fairy-tale.
For life can be bitch but I appreciate her.
Could always be worse: Laying comatose is not something I want to bare.

Life is crazy but it's beautiful.
The will shown in everlong struggle to success.
It can be shocking similar to that Charleston mess.
It also can be powerful with the strength to forgive.
For those that fell on that tragic day,
The victims could have reacted with a spree of their own.
Instead they mourned and returned home,
And chose to forgive.

Love can conquer Hate.
Soar higher than any Confederate flag over any building.
Spread the message further than any e-mail.
Touch the lives of the millions...and millions.

Speaking of a mill, that would be nice to have.
You have an opportunity to make that million dollar grab.
Whether you want cash, a job or whatever your goal shall be.

Just remember life can be rough but it's worth it when you succeed.

Cheers!

Hump To That New Level.

How will you better yourself today?
Allo Hello Hump Day and Allo Hello to all of you on this glorious Wednesday!

Whoop! Whoop!!

I'm feeling spent after the last 2 days thanks to some intense cardio both on and off the pitch. Monday spent my afternoon pushing myself at the gym and even got a Personal Best on Squats! Yesterday's workout was in form of 2 soccer matches where the opposing teams wanted to take my head off in goal but I help my own.

So yeah...my battery is about maybe 60% upon the wake up haha.

So what are you gonna do today? I'm gonna continue to keep pushing myself; even at less than 100% you can still give yourself that extra shove towards something you're striving for.

And don't forget to smile. No matter the pain, the struggle or the difficulty.

Sometimes you have to suffer in order to obtain success.

Keep Pushing and Striving.
And Enjoy The Hump!

Hoist The Colors! (On Tap 162)

Ready? Steady? Wake Up!
Allo Hello! Welcome To Monday.

A new week, a new round of opportunities await your attention. You may be saying that this is a repeat because you hear this nearly every week from myself on this blog.

America is the land of opportunity. Literally there is opportunity all around to better oneself physically, mentally, financially, spiritually or any other word that ends with -ally.

I personally know what it feels like when opportunity put down a red Skip You card on the you. Moaning, struggling, fading away and praying to the higher power for something positive to come my way.

And then I start to laugh.

Why? Because I've had multiple opportunities in the palm of my hands; along with me being too naive and wrapped up in the emotions is what blinded me.

So today, hoist the colors, smile and take advantage of the opportunities at your disposal.

As Crossfade once blasted on the radio...these colors that you're shining are surely not the best colors that you shine.

Extra Bonus: It's RVA Burger Week!
Now if Monday doesn't treat you right, surely a nice burger off the grill will.

Have a Great Monday!

Strength In Humping.

These Guys are excited for Hump Day haha.
Allo Hello! First off, congrats to the Golden State Warriors on winning the NBA Finals! Their first championship since 1975...man that's quite a long time but there's gonna be a celebration in the Bay 40 years in the making!

That's gonna be one hell of a tab.

Now for those that are fans of the Cavs and LeBron James, your boys put up a hell of a fight with what they had at their disposal. Injuries and LBJ literally going H.A.M. every chance he got may not have gotten you the trophy this time around however odds are looking good for Cleveland to be as close as they are to winning a championship sooner rather than later.

Still...this was quite a series. A very memorable one that was actually worth watching from beginning to end. Once again, congrats Golden State.

Anywho, Kazie where the hell have you been with your posts?!? To be honest life and I literally have had busy schedules the last couple of weeks. Along with the NBA Finals, FIFA Women's World Cup and other sporting events going around...I'm exhausted haha. Even right now as I'm typing this one up, my eyelids are struggling to stay open haha.

Yet today is a good day in the neighborhood; a hot one but good nonetheless. Speaking of hot, it almost got to 100 degrees yesterday....all I needed was some sand and a Corona along with some flippy floppies. Insta Beach!

Other than that, life's going and going like the Energizer bunny. Can't wait to #SUFR later this evening when the Kickers take on Columbus Crew SC in the U.S. Open Cup. It won't be as crazy as a celebration as the Warriors hoisting up a championship...but it will be pretty close.

Have A Great Wednesday...aka Hump Day!

Gonna Be One Of Those Weeks (On Tap 161)

Monday Is Here. Time To Tame The Beast. Shoutout to JD for the awesome pic!

Allo Hello! It's your boy logging back in after an eventful weekend and about to start what soon will be a very long and eventful week for yours truly.

Alas, the weekend has come to an end and seeing how Monday is starting, I just want to play the last few days on repeat until the new weekend randomly pops up from the horizon. My weekend consisted of futbol, brews, thrills and spills, great friends and even greater times. oh yeah...and a moonbounce. Life always gets more exciting with a moonbounce enters the fray.

Anywho, Monday is here and just stepping foot into work this morning...I knew it was gonna be a long day and an even longer week when I clocked in. My instincts were spot on but hey you gotta get done what needs to be done; no matter how difficult the tasks in front of you may be.

When the difficulty of life suddenly cranks from Rookie to All-Madden and the defense becomes an impenetrable fortress that pushes farther and father back every chance you take to get that 1st down you desperately need, what are you gonna do? Wanna throw in the towel in the 1st quarter and just give up?

No.

What you need to do is take a timeout, come up with a new gameplan and execute. Doesn't work? Tweak the gameplan a bit. Coming up short? Call an audible. Whatever it is that you do today, DO. NOT. QUIT. You may get the L at the end of the result or pull of the upset of the century and get your hand raised; either way you did not quit and live to fight another day.

Play clock is running out...gotta get back in there and make some plays.
I gotta a day to win.

Have A Fantastic Monday.
Go Long!
