Flip Monday. (On Tap 166)

166...!

I am the stone that the builder refused
I am the visual, the inspiration
That made Lady sing the blues.

I’m the spark that makes your idea bright
The same spark that lights the dark
So that you can know your left from your right

I am the ballot in your box, the bullet in the gun
The inner glow the lets your know to call your brother son
The story that just begun, the promise of what’s to come
And I'mma remain a soldier till the war is won!

In This Moment, Take Over. (On Tap 165)

Found this at Mission BBQ and had to share it via pictorial imagery.
Allo Hello people! Monday feels like a good day and no I'm not intoxicated nor stoned when typing this opening sentence.

For Monday to me is an opportunity; yeah it can be drawn out because it's the first day of the week and after a long weekend you just don't want to get up from that comfortable position in between your sheets.

Speaking of the weekend, mine had #AllTheCardio. From the soccer field to the pool to running on the gridiron and diving back into the pool...it's no wonder I won the batches of group challenges on my FitBit in convincing fashion haha. The only time I had to rest was literally in bed or in the passenger seat; cardio for days.

All that cardio has me not at 100% on the wake up but that percentage would have been even lower if I somehow managed to check into the In This Moment concert last night downtown. Seeing pics and tweets of my pals having a blast screaming "Blood! Blood! Blood!" while rocking out to 11; yeah I would have passed out haha.

Monday is a moment of itself. It's you vs. the day. Are you gonna let the day have it's way with you or are you gonna take it over? When the alarm rings it may take you a few rounds to feel what Monday is gonna throw at you. Strike fast and strike hard. You can win this battle.

As the NNEEWW interim featherweight champ Conor McGregor famously stated:

"You're not here to take part, You're here to take over."

Now Go. Take Over.

Good Day To Be 'Merican! (On Tap 164)

MERICA!
Allo Hello! My oh my what a weekend to be an American huh? Celebrating America’s birthday over 4th of July weekend and ending it on a Red, White & Blue high with our ladies of the U.S. Women’s Soccer team winning their 3rd World Cup!

First country in the world to ever achieve this! MERICA!

Outside of the pitch, twas’ a great weekend full of craziness amongst family and friends along with the occasional drink or two. And dancing; lots and lots of dancing haha. Now looking towards a new week of opportunity starting with Monday, one saying has been stamped on my cranium lately.

“I’m not here to take part, I’m here to take over.”

These words spoken from a fiery Irishman expresses my train of thought perfectly. For the past couple of days I took a glance at myself in the mirror and came to the realization that I’ve been coasting for far too long. I’ve become safe in my box so to speak; just living to get the basic done.

With that came a price for I really have settled in to what I have and what I’m doing.

While all of what I have now is ok, in the back of mind I know there’s more in what I’m capable of. I haven’t risked anything lately, I haven’t learned a new skill and I have settled.

No longer.

Where I am is not my final destination. I appreciate all my surroundings and the people yet I feel the need for more. I must continue my search, learn, adapt or I soon may perish.

It’s never too late to try something new or to go after something that you want so damn bad.

Let’s fight Monday because this is one fight you certainly will not win.

Have A Great Monday Boys & Girls.

Hoist The Colors! (On Tap 162)

Ready? Steady? Wake Up!
Allo Hello! Welcome To Monday.

A new week, a new round of opportunities await your attention. You may be saying that this is a repeat because you hear this nearly every week from myself on this blog.

America is the land of opportunity. Literally there is opportunity all around to better oneself physically, mentally, financially, spiritually or any other word that ends with -ally.

I personally know what it feels like when opportunity put down a red Skip You card on the you. Moaning, struggling, fading away and praying to the higher power for something positive to come my way.

And then I start to laugh.

Why? Because I've had multiple opportunities in the palm of my hands; along with me being too naive and wrapped up in the emotions is what blinded me.

So today, hoist the colors, smile and take advantage of the opportunities at your disposal.

As Crossfade once blasted on the radio...these colors that you're shining are surely not the best colors that you shine.

Extra Bonus: It's RVA Burger Week!
Now if Monday doesn't treat you right, surely a nice burger off the grill will.

Have a Great Monday!

Gonna Be One Of Those Weeks (On Tap 161)

Monday Is Here. Time To Tame The Beast. Shoutout to JD for the awesome pic!

Allo Hello! It's your boy logging back in after an eventful weekend and about to start what soon will be a very long and eventful week for yours truly.

Alas, the weekend has come to an end and seeing how Monday is starting, I just want to play the last few days on repeat until the new weekend randomly pops up from the horizon. My weekend consisted of futbol, brews, thrills and spills, great friends and even greater times. oh yeah...and a moonbounce. Life always gets more exciting with a moonbounce enters the fray.

Anywho, Monday is here and just stepping foot into work this morning...I knew it was gonna be a long day and an even longer week when I clocked in. My instincts were spot on but hey you gotta get done what needs to be done; no matter how difficult the tasks in front of you may be.

When the difficulty of life suddenly cranks from Rookie to All-Madden and the defense becomes an impenetrable fortress that pushes farther and father back every chance you take to get that 1st down you desperately need, what are you gonna do? Wanna throw in the towel in the 1st quarter and just give up?

No.

What you need to do is take a timeout, come up with a new gameplan and execute. Doesn't work? Tweak the gameplan a bit. Coming up short? Call an audible. Whatever it is that you do today, DO. NOT. QUIT. You may get the L at the end of the result or pull of the upset of the century and get your hand raised; either way you did not quit and live to fight another day.

Play clock is running out...gotta get back in there and make some plays.
I gotta a day to win.

Have A Fantastic Monday.
Go Long!

Time To Get Running Again! Shoutout to TheBabman for the artistic awesomeness!
Allo Hello! Wassup! Hello! How did your weekend go?

One Hashtag To Define Mine: #AllTheCardio. From the gym to the blacktop to the pitch both outside and indoor. Run Kazie Run! After the final match of the weekend, literally passed out after eating my Quesadilla combo from Cookout.

Fortunately my phone was in a good mood this morning blaring 'Hero' by Nas signaling that Monday has come. So what's on tap for today and this new week? Get work done, live life loud and not to let the small stuff have a big impact on myself.

Also try to lift a pair of 40s at the gym this week; who knows, I might enjoy one of those kicking back on the porch in celebration of that accomplishment haha.

Anywho, it is a rather humid morning but apparently spring showers are in the forecast. Don't let them rain on your parade though; in fact do a showstopping number drenched claims bonus points from the judges.

Even the Russian judge gotta give something for that.

You Are Not Alone. (On Tap 159)

It can get lonely out here. Yet you're never truly alone.
It's been a minute...well actually a week since the last post on here. Oh where are my manners. Allo Hello! How was your Mother's Day? Good for you and your mama I hope. If you were blessed to spend time with your mother, you better have given her a big hug. Mommas love hugs.

A very interesting topic came up ironically yesterday for me; extra bonus for it constantly popping up like my text notifications throughout the day. From the church sermon to family talks to even my girlfriend along with it somehow rolling onto the pitch during my match: The word 'Alone'.

From my perspective I literally see, touch and deal with this topic on the daily basis. From social media to my front door step to even in my down time when trying to get away. What does it mean to truly be alone? According to my pastor's sermon yesterday morning, alone means that you have completely separated yourself from society, Meaning no friends, no family, no contact, nada, zilch, nothing.

News Flash: If that's truly how you live your life then yes you're completely alone; And probably need some serious help. Ladies and gentlemen, we are not alone. Just because you don't have a significant other or spouse or a BFF that does not mean the end of the world is straight at your front door.

Yes, there are times in life that you need to be left alone but to truly be alone in this world is a terrifying reality that even you don't want to picture.

Eventually you'll stumble upon a person that could turn out to be your partner in crime, the man/woman of your dreams or your Day 1 ride or die friend that's down to helping you become a better person. Just because none of these things are here and now does not mean if you keeping being yourself and stop mentally beating yourself up over the stuff that you don't have...maybe just maybe the things you want will come.

Blessings on Blessings on Blessings.

Various amounts of them throughout the day, so much that I can afloat in the deep end above my head.
Now that demons are controlled and we have a new week, let us rejoice and conquer what's at our feet.

Go Get Em!

Ready? Begin! (On Tap 158)

Allo Hello! A new week lies ahead of you.

What exactly are you going to do in the next couple of days, hours, seconds?

During this week, you'll be dropped into moments where it's Put Up or Shut Up.

In scenarios where high risk comes high reward if you're up to the challenge.

Some circumstances will go your way, others you may just come up short.

Fret not, this is not the end.

It is just beginning.

Welcome To Your New Week of Opportunity.

Now Go Claim It.

Wake Up! (On Tap 157)

You wake up in the morning
But you feel like you never got up and go to work
And you feelin’ like you ain’t got a purpose.
And you tryna get motivated but everything you do turns into a mess
Like you ain’t nothing but worthless.
And, yo, you look around.
A lot of these other people you lookin’ at
To you, you describe as perfect
So you point a finger at God and tell him to do his job
And fix ya’ life up cause nothin’ is workin’!
And you will try to hide and make it seem like it’s nothin’
But really you feel like everything is crashin’ around you.
And you develop a problem in trustin’ in other people
Which later became an issue that will mentally pound you!
You only get one life
But every time you lookin’ at yours you feel like you ever see are mistakes
And the problem and the reason you could never move forward in life:

Is because you were never awake.

Cruisin' Thru A New Week (On Tap 156)

Emoeba with the great photo here! She has a lot more to show via the link!
Allo Hello and welcome to Monday! Hopefully you had a good weekend similar to the weather down here and also an awesome Easter celebration wherever you where as well.

My weekend was literally a two day resting period. I say two because my Saturday was very eventful with the Richmond Kickers' home season opener along with celebrating mi madre's B-Day with familia! Extra bonus for the weather being an absolute joy to have a variety of fun with a variety of people on that day. Did my spirit good there on Saturday for sure.

Speaking of spirit, I was re-connected with mine on Easter Sunday. Went to Sunrise Service to hear the good word even when the sun wasn't even out yet; guess the moon wanted to chime in on sermon as well haha. Still was a very good message that I received and it was great privilege to revisit my church home one more time; which is major blessing all itself.

So yeah...no matter how ugly Monday may be this morning, I'm in good spirits and awaiting what's in store for the rest of the week. One thing for sure is a few trips to the gym along with a weekly soccer match in the Dome. Update on one of my New Year, New Me Goals: I'm regularly lifting 35lbs dumbbells! 10 lbs and a hell of a lot more reps to go!

I'm feeling it this week. Feeling that this week is gonna be a tad bit different from the rest. We've been blessed to see another Monday which may not seem like a blessing depending on which side of the Mondays you are on but you know I'm right.

(Big Sean Voice) Blessings on Blessings on Blessings.

Wayyyyyy up in the sky type of feeling this morning haha. Now what are you gonna do today to make you sit back and say "Man...Monday was alright. Monday was alright."?

You've got a couple of hours to have some fun today.
Don't let them go to waste.

And don't forget to eat breakfast! That extra fuel intake may come in handy during the insanity that is called Monday Morning.

Have A Good One Awesome People.
I Got Some Work To Accomplish.

Not Feeling 100 But Keeping It 100. (On Tap 155)

Allo Hello people on the 3rd Rock from the Sun! It's Monday and you know what that means! Time for a new 7 day period of conquering to begin.

At the starting gate today for this week's marathon, I'm not 100% there physically. Not because of the alarm blaring heavily from my phone this morning; actually I feel pretty rested after 5 hours of sleep. Mainly due to a lower body strain that is seeming to get better but still a pain in my ass.

Literally.

Not sure as to what the cause is or just overexhausted myself to the point that a good rest period is strongly recommended. Probably Option B...yeah yoga posses, stretches and the sauna sounds like a gameplan throughout the week haha.

Mentally though I'm feeling A-OK! Came through some stressful situations on the job and the streets with a grin on my face and my body still attached. Even managed to watch some March Madness and sing some karaoke and enjoy a Heineken over the weekend. Cheers to the weekend indeed.

With Monday here and awaiting me to Press Start, I feel decent. Not in running type shape although I'm getting back to 100%. The only 100% I can give is in my efforts whether it be in the office, in the gym or even on the couch haha. You can't give 100% everyday; it's physically impossible. However that's no excuse for not trying 100% in whatever it is that you do.

And that's keeping it 100.
Believe That!

Have A Great Start To Your 7 Days.

Brooklyn, Brooklyn! (On Tap 154)

A much needed vacation up North.
Allo Hello! It's been a minute since my last post; well more than a minute...actually a week. The reason for my brief vacancy: I was on vacation mode and it was glorious. A lovely 5 hour-ish drive to the Empire State and enjoyed some college basketball, some lovely brews and beverages at the local Bier Hall and VCU hoisting up the silverware as the NEW A-10 Men's Basketball Champions!

Still have no voice. Worth It.

A very nice getaway indeed where I met and partied with new and familiar faces across Ram Nation and mentally was in a rambunctious version of heaven. From causing HAVOC in the Barclays Center to dancing on tables in celebration at the Bier Hall and going H.A.M. at the final buzzer when we realized that our boys have achieved the improbable! 4 straight games, 4 straight victories and our 1st A-10 Title!

#LetsGoVCU

Alas, the party was nonstop since Wednesday in the Empire State but unfortunately last call eventually happened and Monday has appeared awaiting our orders from the weekly menu. Feeling refreshed spiritually but drained physically and mentally from the activities...not even gonna put on a front; your boy is tired upon the alarm blaring "Monster" by Meek Mill. With the Monster inside me awaiting to come out and play this week, breakfast is needed pronto.

One thing that I can attest to: Don't Stop Believing. We as #5 seed in the A-10 Tournament won the whole thing; something that was NEVER done and deemed by many that could NEVER be done was DONE! Even with our best defender out, even when naysayers thought that we fell off and could not recover...look at us now.

This lesson can be taken off the hardwood as well: If you believe in yourself, work your ass off then you will be rewarded for it.

The rewards may come in an instant, others require more loading times. Either way, Don't. Stop. Believing. And Don't Stop Working. Ever.

Once your rewards finally ship to you, celebrate. You deserve it. Then after you finish popping that bottle and clean yourself up, get back at it. There's another reward out there awaiting you if you're up to the task.

Believe That!

Let's Get Monday Started.
In Here.

Prepare For Snowmaggedon! (On Tap 153)

Allo Hello, Allo Hello and Allo Hello! Welcome to Monday ladies and gentlemen and buckle up because we are getting prepared for war!

That's right...it's SNOWMAGGEDON! Human vs. Nature! Organisms vs. Biosystems! Heat vs. Cold! Ali vs. Frazier! Skywalker vs. Vader!

And any other ridiculous VS. you can think of.

On a serious note, possibly the biggest or smallest snow storm of the year is heading this direction as meteorologists and social media keep making guesses and doubling up the ante as to how much everyone is gonna get inch by inch. From 1' to 10', who really knows?!?! Place your bets now!

Anywho, besides the Snow guessing game going on in the other room, life is pretty chill and warm at the moment for myself. My Valentine weekend was spent obviously with my Valentine and a couple hundred of VCU fans in DC as we took over the Smith Center at The George Washington University.

We came, We saw, We got Rowdy and Conquered. Both in the game and in the stands cheering-wise. Twas' a hell of a good time in the Nation's Capital. After the buzzer, posed with a Hippo and checked out some breweries around DC and felt rather impressed and good...very good haha.

Managed to successfully keep my burger intake down to only 3 burgers last week! It was rather ridiculous since the urge for the meat randomly popped up but I was strong enough to find some other yummy alternatives thankfully. As for running a mile each day challenge, unfortunately 2 of those days I couldn't due to a bug infecting my interal systems but as CT would say, "Fuck Excuses".

So what is on the horizon this week? Well seeing that I got all my futbol done on Sunday and snow is apparently coming down, down, down, down, down in a couple hours...I have honestly no idea haha.

Although, I will enjoy my day snow or no snow; And so should you.

Live inside the moment.
Then take your gift outside.

Today, enjoy the day and jam on it.

That Weather Tho? (On Tap 152)

When Monday is this nice, this is the face you make haha.
Allo Hello Monday Morning and all of your Monday morning faces! Look I know the weekend has come and gone and I'm aware Monday has put some sort of smug look on your face every morning...but look at the puppy. Just look at it!

Your Monday face can't resist.

Ah yes. After a video game rageLOL Friday fest and Wobble de Wobble Saturday Night Fever along with a futbol cardio gauntlet on Sunday, a brother is kind of well...not exhausted. Wait wha? Blame it on the protein shake before bed; have quite a lot of energy upon the alarm blaring this morning. In more detail, the weekend was quite grand. To give you a picture as to how much movin' and groovin' took place, in the past 3 days I took 26,314 steps. Yeah...my FitBit was my best friend this weekend.

Now onward to Monday and the new batch of lessons and opportunities awaiting to be discovered. And also this rather strange yet awesome weather we've been having; I mean this is RVA where we can literally have all 5 seasons of the year hit us in one week but this is rather strange having spring type weather take a triple jump right over all the snow. No complaints on this blog though.

Although the North is a tad jealous currently...

Anywho, Monday. I'm in a happy place, happy place. Feeling refreshed and more in connection with my body which is never a bad thing. I did have a burger or two this weekend which I have no shame in my intake of flame-broiled goodness but I'm not falling into the trap of going back to having 6-7 or week. Therefore this week I'm going to attempt to limit myself to 2-3 burgers this week. Along with that challenge, I will attempt to jog/run 1 mile everyday this week. Whether it's on the soccer field, the track, the treadmill or even on the streets, I will re-introduce myself to weekly cardio because I'm gonna need it come spring season.

#ChallengeAccepted

Well that's all from me folks this morning. It's so pretty outside that it's a drag just riding the bus in to clock-in haha. #TheStruggle Still is going to be a good day in the neighborhood. Both weather-wise and interaction-wise.

Now excuse me. Pandora and I got some reacquainting time to have.
Have A Great Mon-Day Mon!

Today I shall enjoy Monday's presence and all the people that are in it.

Ol' My Liver... (On Tap 151)

Way better than last year's Super Bowl. By Far!
Allo Hello my friends! If you're like me this morning that joined in the drinking/partying fiasco know as Super Bowl Weekend or just the Weekend in general...happy Monday morning to you and your liver.

Hey. It needs love too. She partied hard.

My oh my. What a weekend in sports and booze; lots and lots of sports and booze. From the Stu to the Ville all the way to Arizona, if you were a sports fanatic and a social drinker this was your 3-Day sanctuary.

Sadly at the Stu, VCU was defeated by the University of Henrico and what was worse is that quite possibly my favorite Ram of All-Time Briante Weber tore his ACL and MCL in front of a sold-out crowd. All of Ram Nation was devastated to hear the news that his collegiate career was over with just a few steals close to breaking the NCAA All-Time steals record. That really is heart-wrenching but one thing is for sure...it's not over. Not for Bri and most certainly not for VCU.

When adversity comes your way, you can either let it consume you or kick it's ass and conquer it. I believe that VCU will do Option B. Just watch. And you can bet for sure that Briante is gonna be the loudest in the arena cheering his boys on.

If you come in contact with adversity today, don't let it manipulate you. Keep your calm and open a can of whoop ass!

Other than that, the weekend was spot on. Literally, I had a beverage called "Spot On". I don't know what it was or what was in but yeah...the name described it perfectly. From karaoking with friends while getting that sour taste of Gin out of my mouth Friday thru the Super Bowl party of the year with some good BBQ and drinks...my liver needs a vacation. And my stomach.

Alas, Monday is here and even though I'm still feeling some sort of way about her, she is pretty. Although she can be bitchy on certain weeks, I still got love for her and all of the people that I encounter today.

Have A Good...nah...Great Monday peoples!
And if you're Patriots fan, clean yourself up and put the beer down. You got work to do.

Today, I will wreak HAVOC upon anything standing in my way.

Keeping Dreams Alive (On Tap 150)

Allo Hello on this Monday morning peoples! As you awaken from your slumber, what where your dreams? You desires? Or were you just so passed out from the weekend that it was just a big blur?

Well today we celebrate a man that not only had dreams but he sacrificed and help change an entire country to turn that dream into a reality. Today we celebrate MLK Day.

Now his officially birthday was last week where I posted a famous quote from Mr. King Jr. Today we celebrate a true American hero; an ordinary man that went through hell, fire and brimstone twice and still kept believing in his non-violent approach towards freeing blacks and saying the way that we were treated was absurd and unconstitutional.

From sit-ins across the South to the Letter from Birmingham Jail to the I Have A Dream speech in DC, Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream and nothing...and I mean nothing...was gonna stop him from it coming true. MLK made people believe in what he was preaching in that everyone was equal and created equal. His dream did not just change America but the entire world and he may be gone but his dream continues today.

In today's society, I see a lot of variants similar to MLK's. They have that same drive, that same passion towards making their dreams come true. Are you a dreamchaser? Are you willing to go through hell just to get that one chance? Are you willing to the pay the price against incredible odds?

What are you willing to do today to make your dreams and desires one step closer to becoming reality?

Thank You MLK.
Have A Great Monday.
Keep Dreamchasing.

#MondayAwesome (On Tap 149)

Allo Hello peoples! Another weekend in the books and another Monday is up ready to begin! I can feel your excitement from here...

Speaking of the weekend, it was an eventful one for myself. Did a lot of multi-tasking throughout it with balancing work hours, hanging out, chilling, partying more, working more hours, playing recreation sports and somehow finding time just to have a seat and letting out a proper "Ahhhhh!" as I enjoyed a cold one to watch some football.

For about 10 mins...FML haha.

Even with all that action going on in 3 days, it was still quite an awesome couple of days. So I'm feeling Monday upon waking up. Not like that though...we're just "friends". Although I think Monday wants something more but I'm just not that kind of guy. Anywho, your relationship with Monday will hopefully be a good introduction to the rest of the week.

Here's something to start your week with: You're Awesome. Now I know this word known as "awesome" has gained popularity thanks to the popular spokesperson of awesome known as Barney Stinson.

(Insert Awesome MeMe Here)
I'm just gonna leave it there haha. Not only am I always awesome but so are you.

Today is gonna be Awesome.

The Year That Was 2014.

Ahh...2015! A New Year filled with new days, new doors to discover, new barriers to conquer along with new goals to accomplish.

But before all the new stuff can begin, I'm gonna take a step back and look at the last 365 days and analyze how I spent 2014. Now I gotta scroll for the 'Year That Was 2013' post...hold on a second...found it! Gotta love search boxes; let's take a look back shall we?

Ahh yes,,,the weight goal haha. Now I had an opposite one than probably 90% of the population in that I wanted to gain weight. Shocker!? Well this one was a success thanks to dedicating myself going to the gym at least 3 times a week. And now I'm...210 pounds! Extra bonus for turning the extra poundage into some lean mean wrecking machine muscle! Along with doing this, I've found another passion of mine...working out! Love putting on a pair of basketball shorts and hitting the court, field, weight room, or wherever on Earth just to get a good sweat going. Hey now haha.

Still figuring the where, when and how much part haha. This one was trickery due to I combined this with one of my goals of passing my EMT class and getting this as my reward. Further detail about that in the next goal post but back to the ink covered one. I finally got a solid blueprint of a design that I want and yes if you know me it's gamer related haha. Just gotta schedule it and then of course...find a razor and shaving cream.

Welp, I found a full-time position here in my current job so that is beyond HUGE! (Yay insurance!) As for the EMT-B, I passed the class but the struggle to getting the national license is very real. I'm a terrible exam taker, especially when it comes to multiple choice. The National Registry is half a physical exam and the other cognitive. Physically I passed with flying colors, cognitive I failed. Three times. Now I'm stuck in limbo trying to get hours so I can have one more shot at it. During the whole stressful process, I analyzed if this is truly something that I wanted to accomplish and after looking at it and where I'm at career wise...it's important that I get this towards maybe finding a career that I think would be a fit for me. It will take some time from the stuff that I want to actually do but at the end it will be worth it. Just gotta take the time and go back in there guns ablazing with no remorse nor mercy.

The plan is still in progress. I can feel it in my bones that this one is coming closer than expected but I'm not afraid of the opportunity. Full time job? Check. Place of my own? In Progress. In reality, I'm able to pay my bills on a timely matter but can I fully add on rent to my responsibilities? It may be an early struggle upon ownership but the struggle will be worth it because I would be lucky to have a place of my own. And not a lot of people can say that with a straight face. Don't get me wrong, love having free rent at my mom's place but there's this thing called "growing up" and I love my mama but I gotta make this happen to show her, my family, friends and most importantly myself that I can handle me.

I think my compartmentalize level is up to Level 14 currently. This was my mental goal of the year and it was a building block which was very successful btw. Personally I feel the most complete internally I have since I was a young boy back in there where I truly did not have a care in the world. Now that same childhood feeling is back in my young adult self which is great for me and not so great for the drama, hatred, jeers and foul-play that comes my way. I have truly medicated myself with this prescription: If I can't control it, I don't stress it. That prescription might require you to clear up your eyes to fully understand the description. All these stressors out here in this world, some you can control how that bugger will affect you and your skill-set while the others you know for a fact that they're coming to do damage and there's not a damn thing you can do.

So why stress yourself out to the Max on something you can't control? Let it do it's damage per say and then what? You always control yourself and your reactions to bad shit. If your boss give you extra work, just gotta man up, say "OK Boss." and get it done to the best of you abilities. If your partner decides this isn't gonna work and leaves you picking up the pieces, been there, done that. Pick yourself up, wipe them tears, build yourself up back to level 10 and live your life. Whatever it is...work intensity, partner issues, break-ups, suck-ups, lives lost, heartbreaks, mental beatdowns. We ALL go through tough times but YOU...yes YOU...control how you handle when life announces some Bad News your way. And plus your awesome anyway so don't let any negative electrons outside the circle affect your awesometons from within.

Whew...that was some goals and analyzation huh? Haha.

As for the rest of my year that wasn't in goal form, 2014 was rather swell. Mentally I'm feeling more in control of my thoughts and emotions, still in a fun and loving relationship with my girlfriend that still puts up with me for some reason and still got some of the craziest variety of friends on the planet. But I love 'em all. Everybody haha. Physically I'm more in tuned and (Daft Punk voice) harder, better, faster, stronger across the board. What can I say life is going and going for this insominiatic psycho.

Beyond blessed in every sense of those 2 words. Whether you believe in him or not, your personal choice, I would like to thank God for his blessings and gifts throughout the year. Along with an amazing family, a loving girlfriend and supportive cast of friends, I've made it though another year with a grin on my face, YOLO! on my brain and just rolling up and down on this road looking for what I need to conquer next.

Don't get it twisted. It wasn't just all poppin' bottles and party rockin' all night, all day, all year. There was some struggles along the way to the party. May have taken a few detours that could have been avoided along with going down unknown roads when I clearly had a GPS that kept yelling U-Turn! U-Turn! but hey...I'm only human. I'm gonna fuck up. Had a few awesome people laid down to rest which is never fun but the memories and the celebrations of their lives that was definitely and forever will be fun. Yeah there were some dark moments in the last 365 but they did not outshine the brighter ones. And they never will.

Now that 2015 has arrived on my iCalandar, here's what I want to conquer within the next 365 days of opportunity:

*Nothing Sweeter Than A Pair of 45's!: As CT Fletcher famously keeps saying in his videos, there is nothing sweeter than a pair of 45's slapping together! Well this year, I want to hear that sweet sound personally and on the regular inside the weight room. So my main fitness goal this year is to curl up some 45 pound barbells 8-12 reps in 2-3 sets. I can normally do 25 without breaking sweat so I truly want to double the weight and double the power. One goal closer to becoming a sidewalk cracking beast as CT would say. Rep!

*Welcome Home, Kazie: This is the year I get my own place. I've got things were I want them but the search is on. There is a variety of factors riding on the success of this goal and yet I'm not afraid to add more responsibility on my back. Especially when I can just open the fridge and make myself a nice beverage and kick back on the couch with a gaming session. And in my own place? Ahh...the dream. Just gotta keep chasing it and working towards making it real.

*Keepin' An Eye On The Job: While I'm satisfied work wise currently, there's still plenty of possibilities all around. Plenty of interests and What If? scenarios are popping up like IM messages so just doing a tad bit of research in other fields that I may think of making a move towards. EMT certification will still be in the workings in the new year but who knows where I'll end up. As long as I still have an occupation that give me a paycheck, that is a blessing.

*Stay Happy, Stay Humble: Simple. Yet so difficult. Gotta keep this ying and yang mumbo jumbo going strong in 2015. I don't want to turn back into the emotional sap that wanted to be liked but everyone...fuck that. This new version of an old me is amazing and it's staying. Permanently. Just gotta keep upgrading the arsenal and strategically keep the happiness blazing from within and outwards to others. Oh yeah, and keep the haters employed and doing their jobs. While signing out their evaluations: Needs Improvement. :)

*Don't Coward In Front Of Opportunity: One thing I noticed from the last 365 days was that I took advantage of some opportunities that just so happen to land in my lap. While some opportunities awaited bigger rewards if just kept searching in that general direction. Well in 2015, I'm gonna make an effort took use ALL opportunities that seem beneficial in the short, medium and long run. They are out there and in various forms and versions. Just got keep a sharp eye out for them when they appear or clues towards locating them.

2015 is gonna be a productive year. It's gonna get tough here and there but I believe strongly that all my struggles are worth it. And the next 365 days are not just about the struggle; it's about the beauty of the struggles we encounter. Don't look down, look up and keep moving on up. And above all else...be happy in 2015.

You deserve to be happy.
Believe That!
