Allo Hello! My oh my what a weekend to be an American huh?
Celebrating America’s birthday over 4th of July weekend and ending
it on a Red, White & Blue high with our ladies of the U.S. Women’s Soccer
team winning their 3rd World Cup!
First country in the world to ever achieve this! MERICA!
Outside of the pitch, twas’ a great weekend full of
craziness amongst family and friends along with the occasional drink or two.
And dancing; lots and lots of dancing haha. Now looking towards a new week of
opportunity starting with Monday, one saying has been stamped on my cranium
lately.
“I’m not here to take part, I’m here to take over.”
These words spoken from a fiery Irishman expresses my train
of thought perfectly. For the past couple of days I took a glance at myself in
the mirror and came to the realization that I’ve been coasting for far too
long. I’ve become safe in my box so to speak; just living to get the basic done.
With that came a price for I really have settled in to what I have and what I’m
doing.
While all of what I have now is ok, in the back of mind I
know there’s more in what I’m capable of. I haven’t risked anything lately, I
haven’t learned a new skill and I have settled.
No longer.
Where I am is not my final destination. I appreciate all my
surroundings and the people yet I feel the need for more. I must continue my
search, learn, adapt or I soon may perish.
It’s never too late to try something new or to go after
something that you want so damn bad.
Let’s fight Monday because this is one fight you certainly
will not win.
