I'm hearing things through the grapevine,
that tomorrow is celebration time.
For the next day is the 4th of July.
Beers, good times and fireworks hitting the night skies.
The future looks bright and one hell of a party
What's going on today here in the present?
Well it is Friday so that's an early present.
Guess a freshen up is in order along with a morning mint.
My oh my do I love days like today.
Crowded hallways turning into libraries after closing time.
Just only a few souls clocked in along with the one that doesn't look alive.
He knew it was gonna be easy day...probably didn't crack a Z until 5.
Offices now covered in darkness. Whiteboards breached and cleared.
Noise levels turned down to a min with a few convos being heard.
Pure ecstasy are these days; a day of relaxation.
No pinch required, it's a true scenario of satisfaction.

I love this city.
Back to stanza at hand,
After a long week, a relaxing Friday feels great for this man.
As for all of you, whether it's silent or loud.
