What if you can't see yourself in a mirror anymore?
Picture that for a moment. It's something so small and simple but when you take that away from a person, their world suddenly goes into chaos. Just the ability to see yourself in a mirror; fully see you face, upper body, lower body, hands, feet. And then all of a sudden...you can no longer do that.
It's the simple things like this that make me thankful every single day I walk on this rock. Things might not be going my way or I even might be having a bad day...but yet, I still have things to my advantage that help my day go so much smoother.
The inability to see, the flaw of not being able to hear, a critical error in my movement. Any of these rather "simple things" known in our society might be overlooked because we do it numerous times normally that we just tend to forget how lucky we really have to have the skills at our disposal.
So the next time you're having some rough goings during your day...pick yourself up, dust off the dirt, and keep it going.
Because you never know when that might by your last.
Our society takes for granted a lot of things until the day comes where those things start to get misplaced.
