I'm in a strange place.

As 2013 is slowly becoming a wrap.

While I'm sipping on this lukewarm drink,

Writing words that are stamped on my brain while I think.

The left and the right are having a showdown.

Both throwing jabs and cheap shots for the knockdown.

Similar how those that see you as a threat do to you,

Just because they have nothing else to do.

Well maybe they do...live their own lives?

Yet, your light shedding in their peripheral is a visual hazard.

It shouldn't be but thus is how ding-dongs process.

Turning into LA Police as they taze, detain and look for a confess.

Making you feel like utter shit...don't worry they do it to others as well.

Walking and spiting daily towards others demoting them into empty shells.

Throwing a book of assaults and insults that will make the DEA jealous.

You sit at the table feeling the effects.

So what do you do? Take it and swallow the negativity?

Or morph into the beast from within for all to see?

If you can't tell which option is the right answer.

Then after the evaluation...you have been infected with the cancer.

People think a slap on the wrist will stop the abuse?

Fuck that.

Rather rip a hole, play slap box with the corpse, and drop the world on 'em.

While standing with a slim smile as the sun shines brighter.

Thumbs up, pat on the back, and encouragement from the peers.

As another hater has disappeared.

Don't sit back and live through tough times like a drenched log.

Transform into a solider and when it's crunch time...fire towards the dreaded C.O.G.

C.O.G.= Crap Offenders Guild.

Yeah, it's as special as the ones in their ranks.

With soldiers looking to eliminate the hate they scroll upon.

The ranks will be as diminished as the NBA team in Utah.

This buzz is starting to fade.

Anywho, I believe myself falls into the category of "O.M.G. why does the weekend have to end this quickly?!?! Grrr..." Mine was rather festive and entertaining to say the least. From VCU absolutely obliterating Virginia Tech in the Holiday Hoops Classic (GO RAMS!) to all the celebrating that took place during and after the game to spending time with friends and their loved ones as they celebrated Christmas.

HAVOC!!! Best. Christmas. Gift. Ever!

Even got some unexpected gifts which wowed me. It's amazing how much love and joy people can dish out to you at one sitting. Especially during the holidays; aye, I'm thankful for being thought of.

Twas' a very awesome weekend in the neighborhood. Even tried absinthe for brunch and that definitely got me in the holiday spirit so to speak haha. All of the licorice and sugar along with a nice buzzy feeling for the win!

Speaking of Grinches...he probably thought he got to me and my small beating heart work-wise since I'll be on the clock most of this week. But with great power comes great responsibility...and I'm wearing my Link shirt today so I must be one powerful B.A.M.F. to take this head on! 

Another challenge will be getting all this last minute Christmas shopping done later. As long as the crowd of shopping zombies doesn't get so large that I get overwhelmed and have to pull a Dead Rising scenario...I just want to get in, get my gifts and get out.

Man, this week was rather intense in difficulty.

Except with the weather turned cold.

Alas, Mother Nature is on a rather odd period this week.

Actually...maybe her period extended through 365.

70 degrees in December?? 85 in January???

I'm not complaining...it's a nice change to October.

But I think Nature may need to go to the doctor.

Along with December, people are doing last minute shopping.

As I raise my hand is well.

I blame lack of fundings as to why I'm going to mall hell.

But I shall rise through the hellfire and brimstone.

And cruise through the wrapping cuffs and toy tombstones.

Hopefully with gifts...not from and to me.

Allo Hello people of the interwebs! It's time to get ready for a new challenge in the version of Monday arising to wake you up from your weekend slumber.

Or lack there of. Sorry. Party Rockin'.

Was your weekend all you were hoping for and thensome? It was a tad busy for this guy but overall it was a pretty productive one. Along with spending the last moments of it in attempts of hibernation to regain all the z's I lost over the weekend. And by hibernation...literally I had about 6 blankets wrapped around my grizzly skin. Don't poke the bear when he is cold...or running on insomnia. Not the smartest of moves...

But Yeah! Monday...I can hear your enthusiasm through the computer screen. Maybe it's because I'm wired differently than the majority of you but I don't understand why Mondays "suck". I mean yeah...back in the days as a younger lad I would cringe at the thought of waking up Monday and having to go to school, uggghhh horrifying nightmare come true right??

Memories...

Now that I've grown a little taller along with now sporting a fashionable beard and fauxhawk combo on my face...smashing...I've learned to think that Mondays don't really suck as much as everyone tries to make it. It's a fresh start, the first round, a warm-up to a new challenge and opportunity for you to make an impact. Yes...it can suck in the way that you might struggle out of the gates. Which isn't a bad thing since it's the first time.

Nah...you progress through the week getting better and better and better each day then Friday come where we say Cheers! and celebrate because the weekend is upon once again!

But in order for that to happen, you got to start the week off. And we both know that you can dig Friday right? So don't go into a fresh start thinking that it's gonna suck...go into it with some optimism and be productive without placing un- in front of it.

Who knows...Monday might be the best day of the week after all.

Well at least until you have your morning joe or sugar or maybe both...

It's a rather chilly, foggy, and wet morning here on Wednesday but aye...still Hump Day. (Whoop! Whoop!) Even though the rain was rather heavy the last couple of hours, is it bad to be thankful that it didn't happen a day ago where the temperature was below freezing?

Not a fan of shoveling snow...

If the option was between rainfall and snow...99.9% of the time I'm choosing option A. Unless I don't have to pick the snow up...and it's during the winter months along with me having enough layers to cover every inch of my body and a mini-heater inside my coats. Then yeah...snow may get my vote. Maybe haha.

Yeah...no bueno on snow. Brrr...

Blessed With One's Self (On Tap 116)

Are You Ready? Monday is on the horizon.

Allo Hello people of the interwebs! Was your weekend all that you hoped for and then-some? Hopefully some joy, thrills, and not a lot of spills was involved in your mini-vacation as Monday has arrived with alarm whistles, musical wake-up calls, and of course...massive objectives you must attend to!

For this guy typing up this post behind the scenes, my weekend was rather awesome. Spent time with friends, watched sports of the collegiate and professional variety throughout my days, and even sung a little karaoke on the microphone. Besides some results in certain matches I was paying attention not really going my way...sadness...it was a pretty chill R&R session getting ready for Monday.

Even went to church for the first time in months to shape up the spirit that was deep within my skin and muscle tissues. Twas' a really good service and learned some valuable lessons about life in general as only how my preacher can teach the word haha.

Good times in the sanctuary indeed.

No matter what negative comes your way, no matter what stress comes from the top rope and splashes upon your head and no matter what ridicule comes from behind to smack you with a pair of brass knuckles...you are still blessed.

If you're able to see the sun and the skies...blessed.

If you're able to rise out of bed without pain...blessed.

If you're able to breathe without assistance...blessed.

I could go on and on and on and on about the small things that we as a people take for granted because it's such a part of our norm that we often overlook them. However probably one of the biggest things that I think is a blessing in my spectrum is the following...

If you're able to live your life the way you want to live it...blessed.

There is a difference between living and being a puppet in life. Fear nothing and make your own decisions that will help benefit your life in a positive way. Don't be some life-form with a rather large hand shoved right up your ass that has a mind-controlling device over you making you unethical to make your own decisions for yourself.

Insults, stress and drama will always come your way in some form or another. If you're able to stand tall with a little swag to your step then those elementary jokes called 1st grade "insults" won't affect your hustle, your drive and your passion. Yes, it can get annoying...and I know the feeling...just keep doing what you do best, curb stomp any negativity that tries to swerve you off-course to the ground and keep it moving towards your destination.

Not everyone has the opportunity to fully live the way they want to live; I'm very fortunate to be in my position to have that opportunity and I'll be damned if I'm gonna waste it. It's humorous when those same people jeering at you secretly wish they had something that you posses. 

And you know who you are.

But Hey! Get your shower on, get your clothes on and get your walk on this Monday morning! And if yours is as cold as mine...put on some extra layers. You're gonna need it...burrrr!

Count your blessings this morning, hop out of bed and get ready for the next battle.

It's a battle that you can win if you believe in one's self.

Is your week of adventure going the way you mapped it out? Some may be nodding yes with excitement while others are shaking no in disappointment. Don't fret...you can still patch things if your week has been less desirable start-wise and have a great finish. For mine...it's been quite stressful the last couple of the days. Think the stress and demands of life finally caught up to me and infected my brain with self-doubt and other overly emotional hacks to my brain cells.

Enters a rage fest featuring a video game rampage and doing a couple of planks at the midnight hour on Tuesday evening just to CTRL + ALT + DELETE most of the darkness infecting my brain. Feeling a tad bit better mentally; especially with the fact that it is HUMP DAY!

Whoop! Whoop!

It's gonna be busy day for myself; have a variety of objectives work wise to deal with while dealing with other things I need to work on outside the office. But with the belief in my abilities and saying a prayer asking for a blessing or two during my quest today...I. Will. Survive.

Thankfully I'm off Thursday...so there definitely will be some form of R&R after the missions have been completed today.

Anywho, time to get the day started with a shower and a walk to the city to start my 1st Mission...getting to work on time.

Before Hump Day got underway...there was GAMEDAY! And oh boy...was there ever a GAMEDAY here in the Battle for the Commonwealth up in Charlottesville. A first as #14 VCU and #25 Virginia took to the court in John Paul Jones Arena as ranked rivals...been waiting for years to FINAALLYY see this matchup take place! With all the drama and grit and hair-pulling thanks to the refs, bricks coming from the free throw line and some late crunch time magic, VCU came out victorious over the 'Hoos thanks to Treveon Graham hitting a DEEP 30+ Foot 3 Pointer with 1.1 seconds remaining!

So yeah...I'm a tad over excited and my production level is definitely super uneffective after driving up and back to witness that. Still...Worth. It.

Allo Hello people of the Interwebs! Welcome to Monday which is even more awesome than it usually is because it's Veterans Day!

Today is day of thanks towards our military veterans and those on-duty serving our country here at home and around the globe. I know many of my family that have enrolled in the Armed Services for duty along with many other friends, co-workers, and strangers that have done this courageous act of defending our honor and our rights here in the United States of America.

Even if things are a tad bit shaky here in the States, we still are incredibly thankful as a Nation for our soldiers. Those in uniform now and for those that gave their lives in battle. If you run into someone you know that's a veteran, give 'em a hug, a high five, a hand shake, a thank you. Thank you so much Vets.

While most of y'all get to enjoy a 4 day weekend so to speak...which is awesome...duty calls for myself this morning. But hey...no worries, gotta go get this money by putting the work in! Then maybe a workout somewhere around these parts...which is highly necessary after a celebratory and eventful weekend for myself haha.

Allo Hello people of the Interwebs! Another weekend is in the books and Monday has arrived at your doorstep towards starting a brand new week!

Now if only the majority of people can actually get excited for Monday for once right??

That's a challenge in itself...

Anywho, my weekend was very enjoyable because HAVOC! has returned to RVA in the form of VCU Basketball! GO RAMS! Even though it was an exhibition and an absolute dominating win for the Black & Gold...still was awesome to return home to Siegel screaming, stomping, and cheering on the sidelines.

Along with Party Rockin' on Halloween Weekend and handling the responsibilities of working before, during and after GAMEDAY was completed...a very entertaining yet tiring weekend for your's truly.

Especially doing the time warp in the version of daylight savings time on the clock...fun times let me tell ya.

Now lies ahead is Monday and a new month in November while we're at starting new journeys. Speaking of November...it's No Shave November! (Also known as Movember for alternative naming purposes) A month where men everywhere take the razors and clean up their faces in the name of Men's Health Awareness and go 30 days without shaving. I probably just mind-blown a few of you because I'm pretty sure a handful of you guys and gals didn't know that doing this is for a cause haha.

As you can see in pictorial fashion here, I'm participating in the annual November attraction. It was hard due to the cold front about to come in and I was going to miss my little hair jacket hugging amongst my face but ehhh...my face can survive 30 days.

Whoop! Ahhh!!

As this week is keep on, keeping on in a sense in our lives currently hopefully things are playing out in your favor on your side of the spectrum. Besides the regular load of objectives on my plate, things have been rather solid for this guy! Along with getting my sticky hands on some early Halloween candy from neighbors, co-workers, and anyone else that I pass by handing out the stuff as an extra treat this week.

What can I say? My Sweet Tooth is Evil.

Especially for those Halloween Oreos...gahhhhh! So Gooooddd! I need to take my sugarized fat ass to the gym today. SOOOO MMMMUUUCCCHHHH SSSUUUUUGGGGAAAAAHHHHH!!!

Anywho, Halloween is actually (check's calendar...) TOMORROW! So I expect to see a variety of the classics mixed with the newest versions of costumes all over the city tomorrow turnt up at the local college parties, clubs, and trick-or-treaters wondering the streets for that golden candy. Along with a few mischiefs playing pranks on Devil's Night, it's gonna be a rather entertaining next few days in the neighborhood.

My costume? I don't have one this year since the Halloween parties that I would have attended I was have fun up in New York at the time. Womp Womp...oh wells. Probably will spend some cruise time with some friends doing something stupid and having fun during the spooky festivities around town.

If you ain't having fun, you're doing it wrong.

Now as I dig into some more candy corn, Skittles, and a few Twix bars...here's this week's Hump Day Trio!

Allo Hello people of the Interwebs! How was your weekend? Grand? Too Short? Wish it went just a tad bit slower? Yeah...I'm kind of wishing that I could have pressed an extension button of some sort.

Mine was spent in the Big Apple and acting a fool across various places around Long Island; it was a nice trip up North besides all the heavy traffic and construction causing even more traffic and hair pulling behind the wheel!

Fortunately my forehead survived.

Had a lot of fun meeting old and familiar faces along with putting a smile or two on my girlfriend's face. Although I must say the highlight of the trip was thumb wrestling and the laughable sound affects being made while we were playing mobile Air Hockey...during an engagement party.

Oh the expressions and laughter lol.

Alas, back in RVA just in time for Monday! (Hold Your Applause) If you're on the same boat as me waking up to kick things off at the job, going to lecture, or just waking up to get things done...well in simple terms, get things done today! Yes it is Monday...but it's not the worse thing in the world! Cause we all know the worse thing in the world is a Hitler Mustache.

Gahhh...all that evilness in one patch of hair...

Anywho, Monday is staring at the crust in your eyes and thinks that you're gonna fail today. Get out of that bed, suit up, and pull of the upset as the winner of the contest! 

Now where's my iPod...need to listen to Suffering from Success on the way to the city...worth copping a LLLISSSTTTEEENNNN! As Philly D says, Love Yo Faces Internet type peoples! and I hope you have a good Monday. I'm off to the city.

Allo Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Wednesday aka the 3rd Day aka Hump Day!

Whoop! Whoop!

Feeling a tad bit tired as my alarm is ring-a-ling ring-a-ling ring-a-ling ling linging across my room; probably should get up and fix that. However, today is Hump Day! So that should bring a small little smirk in the lower region of my lip just with that little headline.

Anywhos, I've seen better days but currently this week has been a tad bit rocky on the trail to the weekend. Things have worked out to smoother set of terrain on my weekly quest and I plan on keeping it that way.

And if there are any more humps that I just so happen to come across...well I guess I need to switch into my humper jumpers and leap! Might take a few tries due to all the fun landing on the turf during my soccer matches on Monday...ouch.

But Yeah! Gonna grab a glass of water and a Pop-Tart (Brown Sugar flavored...duh.) and prepare for another walk to the city on this chilly yet fall warming Hump Day! Have a wicked day and do you today!
