Lyrical Spiritual 56.

Another glimpse of the sun rising. May seem like a regular occurrence to some.
Yet this blessing is for those that aren't able to witness today's sun.
You see. These small things in life have big impacts.
Most go unnoticed until it doesn't happen. Which leads to an uncertain attack.

Waking up with no pain in my core or limbs.
Walking to the closet to put on fresh jeans with a pair of Timbs.
Cleaning up the face from the night slumber, dabbing the hair with some gel.
Opening the pantry to see food on multiple shelves.

Thousands upon thousands of things to be thankful for.
None too big, none to small. Be thankful for it all.
Whether it's having a car to go from here to there,
Or getting out that stressful scenario and happy to be over here.

In this world of "I Need This" and "Right Here, Right Now!"
Don't forget about the small things that got you here to the Now.
Along your hustle and strive, don't forget to say thanks with a smile.
Who knows? That may have mutated to frown if your world got rocked upside-down.

My mind has been racing like a Dodge Viper up in Auburn Hills.
Lead food welded to the pedal, roaring in this beautiful piece of metal.
Yet I had to find a way to pump the brakes.
Coming to a stop, exit stage left. Look upon the horizon and realize what was at stake.

The stakes couldn't be higher. Well actually, yes they could.
In reality, I couldn't have been here; still could be slinging in the local hood.
A few small changes and my life has been forever changed.
From a young buck rocking a slim chain to grindin' on the high roads from lane to lane.

Seeing things clearly and thank the Almighty for the blessings bestowed upon me.
All the many gifts that tagged along for the world to see.
No matter what you're going through: Keep Going, Smile and don't forget to say Thank You.

Because you never know. Those small things can lead to a bigger you.

Cheers!

Restart. (On Tap 133)

Allo Hello peeps!

Monday is here; I can see the excitement in your eyes. For myself, I'm still in the progress of waking up so Monday is gonna have to wait a few moments before I'm completely ready to see her lovely face.

A shower would be ideal as well...

Anywho, personally hoping that this week goes along way better than the previous one. It was a ferocious last seven days for myself yet I'm still here. Through hits, drama, mistakes and slip-ups yet I still got a slight grin on my face. Someday it will get better; that is what I believe and that is what I'm working towards. That Someday.

What's your Someday?
Someday when you finishing off paying your loans.
Someday when you find the relationship of your dreams.
Someday when you finally get that job you've been searching for.
Someday when you lose 50 pounds.
Someday when you sign your name to a mortgage.
Someday when you get yourself clean.
Someday when you finally forgive that unforgivable betrayal.
Someday when you find your purpose.
Someday when you graduate high school.
Someday when you finally get over the heartbreak.

There are a multiple Somedays and it can vary upon person to person. We all have things that we want to strive for yet there are objectives that we get over-obsessed with trying to complete. Someday I want this, someday I want that. And I love seeing people working towards making that day a reality instead of just waiting on the day to "magically" appear on the calendar.

So whatever your Someday is, I hope that you are able to see it one day. Whether you see it today, tomorrow, next week, in 8 months or 5 years...Never. Give. Up.

I Repeat.
Never. Give. Up.

Believe That!
(And Have A Spectacular Monday!)

The Hump Remains.

Allo Hello. From my mouth to your ears, I would like to say the following: Hump Day Is Here!

Whoop! Whoop!

The midpoint of the week has arrived and the opinion of it varies from person to person. Some love it, others happy see it, and some just rolling their eyes thinking "ughhhh...another day."

Hey yo. Out of those three options, I'm option A. I'm feeling good, I'm looking good according to other people thanks to a shave and a haircut and in general...I'm just one happy dude. It's been a busy week with a few struggles here and there yet I'm still here with a grin on my face and a dirty joke on my brain.

Giggity.

Plus it's Hump Day for goodness sake! Humps can always put a chuckle on this guy's face. Hopefully it brightens up your spirit on this day as well.

What Is This In My Mouth? (On Tap 125)

Still have no idea what this is...but it was good!
Allo Hello boys and girls, ladies and lads! It is Monday and I got to say I'm feeling pretty good starting a new week...and also stuffed. Very, very stuffed.

You're welcome stomach and/or liver.

My stuffiness is the conclusion of a Saturday afternoon mini-brew tour around the city with my girlfriend and bud which included a peanut butter oatmeal porter not named Sweet Baby Jesus!, some damn good IPA's from Isley Brewing and Triple Crossing Brewery and a very entertaining UNO tournament between the three of us. The misses won because she cheats; there is no way she could have had all those Draw Two's and Reds going her way haha. I'll settle for 2nd I suppose...

Besides checking and tasting local brews over the weekend, I was introduced to the Lebanese Food Festival for the first time ever! Taste Buds Achievement Unlocked! My first impression...Damn! There is a lot of people at the festival!! And they all love their Lebanese Food.

And I understand why now.

I had some shish kebabs, Lebanese rice and meats, cheese pies, sambouseks and other dishes and sides that I can't pronounce correctly plus their Lebanese beer called Almaza which all the above was very, very tasty and fulfilling. If you're ever in the area while the Lebanese Food Festival is in town, I recommend you to come on down and check it out.

Now as for you Monday. You may have an American Bacon Cheeseburger and French Fries awaiting me for lunch but I'm (Burp!) Ready for you.

Gah...I'm having Lebanese withdrawals already...Damn It!

Have A Great Monday Peoples. We all are blessed to see another day in this crazy world. Now let's go out there and make something out of it.

I'm A Mess And I'm OK With That (On Tap 124)

Rise And Shine. We Got Some Fun To Be Had This Week!
Allo Hello people of the interwebs! Yours truly is back here on the blog to get ready for another new week of adventure after a very eventful weekend which even included a 9 hour rest period. So if I'm a little bit more jumpy this morning...blame the extra z or two that I got.

Sleep and I got along. Shocker! I think our relationship is starting to turn for the better.

My weekend was grand and hopefully yours was as well. Spent some of it watching soccer which made me (Pharrell Williams' Voice) HAPPY!!! due to the face that Liverpool gave them some breathing room at the top of the BPL with only a few more matches and possibly lifting that trophy in celebration as the new league champs!

You Never Walk Alone. #LFC

Also watched and chattered at the Kickers game here at City Stadium which ended in a dramatic come from behind 2-2 draw against Pittsburgh. And also on the NHL side of sports, I cheered, screamed and spilt beer everywhere watching the Avalanche win their playoffs games over the weekend as well.

Besides sports, also spent Resurrection Sunday amongst family and friends while hearing a very good spiritual message from our pastor that put me on an even bigger spiritual high as Monday rolls around with it's nappy hair, strong odor and rather interesting mascara upon it's face.

Monday may be a mess and in fact...all of us are a mess when you think about it. We all don't have everything we want in life on the straight and narrow; if you're like me, you have things and yourself in multiple directions and venues at one sitting. And you know what...

You're Still Awesome.

You don't have all the answers, you can't do everything, you have certain things, people and events bugging you and your mind and that's completely normal. Our lives are messy but aye...I have a mess to call my own so to speak haha. In this mess called 'Your Life' realize that you are still awesome and capable of doing amazing things with your hands, feet, mind, mouth and skill-set. No matter what kind of negativity or button mashing amongst your mess as it tries to engulf you whole...you are still capable to get things done and above else, be happy.

You're life may be a mess but that is OK because you are blessed.

It may be crazy what I just typed up but you know I'm right. I'm me and I don't care what you think about me or my mess that I call my life. I'm happy with it and the things that I can control in it I will gladly keep cleaned up and tidy whenever I can or if they need a spit-shine waxing haha.

Don't let that mess ruin your shine and happiness.
Give it a waxing with that bright glow of yours.

Enjoy Your Monday and Make Your Move Towards A Better You!

"Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof.
Because I'm Happy!
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth.
Because I'm Happy!
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you.
Because I'm Happy!
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do."

All Clear. Humping Engaged.

Arise. We Have Some Humping To Do.
Allo Hello to all on this Wednesday morning as Hump Day has arrived to your front door!

Whoop! Whoop!

A Hump Day without snow?? Well this is a tad bit different...I for one have a very gigantic grin splattered across my face due to the absence of all the white stuff that inhabited ground for weeks. Besides getting reacquainted with heavy coats, gloves, and wintery fashion hats for a few days, I have been pretty decent as always. Just working on a few things here and there while enjoying whatever life brings to my face.

No complaints about life will be found here. Yeah, things could be better or things could be worse; much worse. I'm very fortunate to be in a position to make something happen. Do I have any idea what I'm going to do? Not really. However one thing I know I will not due is bitch about life.

If life gave me an interview, I might blow up just like Richard Sherman did on Erin Andrews.

Poor Erin...Hahaha.

In order to live life, you have to be passionate about it both during the heavenly highs and the earth-shattering lows. Could your life could better? Absolutely. Could it worsen? Yup. I'm not stating you have to be a human can of RedBull splashing people with "I LOVE LIFE!" "I LOVE LIFE!". There are gonna be days where life just hits you with a low blow and it may suck for the next couple of moments. Don't turn into a bitch when life gets you down, transform into a pimp and smack life in the face to get your business back up and rolling.

Did I really just use a pimp analogy to explain life? Yeah...I think that's an entertaining way to roll into this week's quotes lol.

Speaking of quotes...here's this week's Quotable Trio!

Pimpin' Ain't Easy. Lulz.

-Winston Churchill

"Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later."
-Og Mandino

"Your personal life, your professional life, and your creative life are all intertwined. I went through a few very difficult years where I felt like a failure. But it was actually really important for me to go through that. Struggle, for me, is the most inspirational thing in the world at the end of the day - as long as you treat it that way."

Allo Hello people of the interwebs and welcome to Hump Day, Hump Day, Hump Day! As if you really needed three times the introduction on the 3rd day of the week but yes...Hump Day Is Here!!!

Whoop! Whoop!

Hopefully this week has shaken your hand at the dinner table and treated you great with some good conversations, events and the occasional intake of mouth-watering cuisine. If your weekly dinner date has gone sour, might be time to change the subject or even move tables because whatever going on ain't working.

Check Please!

For myself, I'm running only 2 hours of sleep due to making a trip to DC to watch some VCU basketball on the road at the Smith Center. Unfortunately, we came out on the losing end to GW on the night but was still a fun trip up to the Nation's capital. Especially with running and hugging and cheering and chanting along with familiar faces in enemy territory. Good times riding on the Metro indeed haha.

Let's see what Hump Day has in store today! That unfortunately requires me to hop out of bed. But it's so comfy tho...alright, alright I'm up, I'm up.

Enjoy Humping folks and here's this week's quotable trio!

"At the end of the day, my momma told me don't let no one break me.
At the end of the day, nobody ever could stop me.
At the end of the day, you can't regret it if you were trying.
At the end of the day, I'm walking with a heart of a Lion...Yea."
-Kid Cudi

"Can we go back, this is the moment..
Tonight is the night, we'll fight 'til it's over.
So we put our hands up like the ceiling can't hold us.
Like the ceiling can't hold us."
-Ray Dalton

"Girl you can tell everybody,
yeah you can tell everybody.
Go ahead and tell everybody.
I'm the man, I'm the man, I'm the man."
