I'm A Mess And I'm OK With That (On Tap 124)

Rise And Shine. We Got Some Fun To Be Had This Week!
Allo Hello people of the interwebs! Yours truly is back here on the blog to get ready for another new week of adventure after a very eventful weekend which even included a 9 hour rest period. So if I'm a little bit more jumpy this morning...blame the extra z or two that I got.

Sleep and I got along. Shocker! I think our relationship is starting to turn for the better.

My weekend was grand and hopefully yours was as well. Spent some of it watching soccer which made me (Pharrell Williams' Voice) HAPPY!!! due to the face that Liverpool gave them some breathing room at the top of the BPL with only a few more matches and possibly lifting that trophy in celebration as the new league champs!

You Never Walk Alone. #LFC

Also watched and chattered at the Kickers game here at City Stadium which ended in a dramatic come from behind 2-2 draw against Pittsburgh. And also on the NHL side of sports, I cheered, screamed and spilt beer everywhere watching the Avalanche win their playoffs games over the weekend as well.

Besides sports, also spent Resurrection Sunday amongst family and friends while hearing a very good spiritual message from our pastor that put me on an even bigger spiritual high as Monday rolls around with it's nappy hair, strong odor and rather interesting mascara upon it's face.

Monday may be a mess and in fact...all of us are a mess when you think about it. We all don't have everything we want in life on the straight and narrow; if you're like me, you have things and yourself in multiple directions and venues at one sitting. And you know what...

You're Still Awesome.

You don't have all the answers, you can't do everything, you have certain things, people and events bugging you and your mind and that's completely normal. Our lives are messy but aye...I have a mess to call my own so to speak haha. In this mess called 'Your Life' realize that you are still awesome and capable of doing amazing things with your hands, feet, mind, mouth and skill-set. No matter what kind of negativity or button mashing amongst your mess as it tries to engulf you whole...you are still capable to get things done and above else, be happy.

You're life may be a mess but that is OK because you are blessed.

It may be crazy what I just typed up but you know I'm right. I'm me and I don't care what you think about me or my mess that I call my life. I'm happy with it and the things that I can control in it I will gladly keep cleaned up and tidy whenever I can or if they need a spit-shine waxing haha.

Don't let that mess ruin your shine and happiness.
Give it a waxing with that bright glow of yours.

Enjoy Your Monday and Make Your Move Towards A Better You!

"Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof.
Because I'm Happy!
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth.
Because I'm Happy!
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you.
Because I'm Happy!
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do."

Lyrical Spiritual 28

There's something lurking in shadows.
A person or thing that's looking to crash the show.
Something small or the next big thing.
Yet the unknown figure remains to be seen.

Can you feel that?
What is this mysterious sensation?
Fueling up on adrenaline, trying to burst through your chest.
As if it's pleading to break free from this dark abyss.

This monstrosity roars but no one hears it's cry.
Except for the chosen one falling upon all these deaf ears.
Creeping closer to it's owner's feet awaiting instructions.
Gripping at the bid to unleash chaos and massive destruction.

They say fear of the unknown can cause a man to tick.
As for this unknown, this may just do the trick.
The unknown is not the enemy in this instance; for in reality it's an ally.
Mutating you in an ravishing beast with a courageous battle cry.

Hopes, dreams, fantasies, desires.
I can't deny...the addiction is quite strong to taste.
With this new power, man feels born again and renewed.
Adrenalized and no longer the stubborning fool.

For as the fable reads, the unknown has crawled into the spotlight.
People cringe in horror as if they experience stage freight.
Yet the man stands not afraid; in fact, a smirk is upon his face.

He has just tapped into his potential and now prepares to lay waste.

Cheers!

The Daily: Only The Strong Survive.

I will not be forgotten.
This is my time to shine.
I've got the scars to prove it.
Only the strong survive.
I'm not afraid of dying.
Everyone has their time.
Life never favored weakness.

Welcome to The Pride.

Humping. ETA: 5 Mins.

Sigh...I miss the Salt Life. Just a tad haha.
Allo Hello peeps and...peep-etas? I have no clue what the female version of 'peep' is or if there is one even in existence. Anywho, welcome to Hump Day!!!

Whoop! Whoop!

It has been a very eventful few days for myself and today I'm feeling pretty good and a tad bit chilly thanks to an ice-pack/self-therapy session for my legs yesterday because I needed it. Especially after checking my FitBit and it showed that I had over 20,000 steps for 2 consecutive days; operation chill mode was a success come Tuesday evening. Literally.

Just in time for some good ol' humping today!

My Go-Go-Gadget legs are still in buffering mode but hopefully around mid-morning they should spring into action as Hump Day commences! If things are looking so springy, find a way to get that spring back in your shoes and jump up and dance!

And now that song from FIFA Street is stuck in my head...

On that showstopping number, wish all of you a grand Hump Day and go get some things done today along with having fun here and there and everywhere!

(Drum-Roll) Here's this week's quotable trio!

"Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy."
-Norman Vincent Peale

"For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been 'No' for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something."
-Steve Jobs

"Our culture tends to label everybody and everything either a success or a failure, a winner or a loser. I often wonder how the one winner and 58,000 losers in the Boston Marathon feel about that? I can't imagine even one of those runners thinking of himself as a loser. I believe that for every one of them, to run the race well is to succeed."

I'm a Beach (On Tap 123)

Allo Hello people of the interwebs! Hope your weekend was as salty and relaxing as mine for Monday has arrived from the land of the rising sun to signal a new week of adventure is about to begin.

Now wait...salty?? That doesn't sound nearly close to a relaxing weekend for anyone. Unless you were like me and spent it in North Carolina among Sunset Beach, a winery for a wedding and other entertaining venues throughout the weekend.

Yeah...I was living the Salt Life for a weekend haha.

Even wore a suit for once to look classy at the wedding then immediately took it off because it wasn't suit weather down there; it was beach bum, laying out on the sand, having a cold one and playing beach soccer...kind of weather.

And it was glorious.

Alas, it's time to get started as a new week is upon us! I understand...it's Monday;you want to hit that snooze button and skip to Friday before the week even starts.

Not gonna lie...if I had that power then everyday would be Friday.

But aye...it's going to be a good day. Yeah, it might be crazy with work clawing at your last nerves and with life in general just doing it's best to kick your ass and send you home crying.

Do. Not. Cry.

Do. Not. Quit.

Bad times don't last forever; yes, they do happen but that's life sometimes. Get out of that bed and make Monday a Friday right here, right now. Go get stuff done and enjoy today while other stay grumpy and pale because of the Monday grumble grumble.

I'll be over here being awesome and enjoy another day. Because I'm blessed to see another one.

And so should you.

Also probably need to get the rest of this sand out of my hair...
Have a great Monday folks.

Lyrical Spiritual 27

Legacy.
A little word with gargantuan meaning.
People on this earth currently pressing play.
While others has their legacy on pause.
With those wishing for a rewind or a fast forward feature.
Stop. You must continue with your future.

What defines this word called Legacy?
It's a mixture of variables you see.
With work, emotion and cause to name a few.
Multiple bricks you create to build a foundation.
Created with your own hands from your times wandering the nation.

Some legacies are filled with heroic tales going from zero to hero,
Others read about a lost soul that got engulfed into eternal damnation.
Stories with empowering heroics and dastardly deeds,
Filled with colorful details as audience continue to read.

When you beat your final beat...what would your legacy be as the book is shut?
Will it read about someone that made something or just ran a muck?
A Champion or another Big Bust?

Things may not be ordeal but this isn't a permanent chapter in your autobiography.
As you continue breaking down barriers for all those readers to see.
Going through changes mixed with trials and tribulations.
Pushing your outer limits amongst the unbelievable.

Make yourself memorable; as not an ass-kisser but an ass-kicker.
The one that got things done while engulfing a Snickers.
Someone that was into their line of work and made a name out of their craft.
Chopping wood, driving trucks or even breaking opponents in half.

The world may be pretty sad but there are some happy people.
Building, washing, writing, driving, thinking, creating.
Releasing bright auras and workings to this dim surface.
As they continue on their path to rise above the surface.

Inspiring others to do the same; if not better.
Your legacy is looking more in tune than a tacky Christmas sweater.
Fearing nothing and taking chances on tables where the odds are slim.
Yet you are strong and will not fall down to this strong wind.

A legacy can last a lifetime or it can be cut short.
No one knows when their legacy is on their last breath.

But when yours is finished...will your legacy be read or will it stay on the shelf?

Cheers!

The Daily: A True Warrior

The Spirit of The Ultimate Warrior will run Forever.

"Every man's heart one day beats it's final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath. And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them believe deeper in something that's larger than life. Then his essence, his spirit will be immortalized by the storytellers, by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honor him and make the running the man did live forever."

Hump Towards The Finish.

Allo Hello
people of the interwebs and a Happy Hump Day to you all!
Whoop! Whoop!

For myself the last few days have left me drained when I returned back to home base but alas it's been a productive last couple of days. My production was also in good form when it came to soccer as I scored my first ever hat-trick in a match! Unfortunately in my second match of the night...I literally in the words of Chris Tucker 'Got Knocked The F*!k Out!' via a head-on collision with an opposing player...

And yeah...I felt that in the morning.

Physically I feel a tad bit drained awaking up but I'm gonna give Hump Day my all to get the job done. Speaking of physical...the plank challenge has now gotten up to 4 minutes to which I will try to attempt later on today. 3.5 minutes was an ordeal but I was able to complete it successfully...now to see how I strong I am adding another 30 seconds to today's daily challenge.

Hopefully that along with some downtime and unwinding does the body good later on...

Other than that, this charismatic guy has some humping to do and goals to accomplish.
You should do the same.

And now...here's this week's quotable trio!!!

"I've turned into a monster...and it keeps getting stronger."
-Imagine Dragons

"I done been broke, I done been through the motions.
I don't pay no attention to birds,
I use my scope and I tend to the vultures."
-Royce Da 5'9"

"Recognize my life, ridicule my fight.
Give me fuel for the fire burning when I yearn these lights."
-Kendrick Lamar

You've Reached Your Destination (On Tap 122).

Allo Hello! Rise and Shine for Monday is here!

Yay../.

I know most of you are so excited by that lovely announcement haha. But aye...your journey to greatness has to have some sort of starting point right? Hopefully you guys and gals had a good last couple of days including the weekend which sported some pretty awesome weather as an extra bonus.

As for myself last week was pretty hectic and chaotic in a productive way because I started my new full-time gig! Yes, as the Rock would say with his voice echoing throughout the arena...FINALLY!!! THE ROCK HAS A FULL-TIME JOB!

People's Eyebrow not included.

Alas this whole 'Waking Up and Working Everyday' thing is going to get some taken use to but on the flip-side this whole 'Having My Weekends Back Without Graveyard Shifts Included' thing I can get use to as well haha. Let's just say it was a little weird looking at the clock and not trying to rush out into the dark world to prepare for work. Awesome but weird...

Anywho, I'm blessed and fortunate to have the opportunity and who knows...maybe further down the road this will help me as I continue traveling down the road to find out where my next destination shall be. Sometimes in order to get to where you want to go, you must follow the path that is less traveled; everyone wants to find the short cut or the faster route to reach their destination. Well sometimes taking the long road actually can help you for the greater good.

Wha??

When I heard this message, I was confused until it was further explained by my pastor; then it made complete sense. The long road may take longer to reach your destination but it's full of hazards, road bumps and other conditions that can help make you stronger by the time you reach the destination. We all have come across hazards that may take us more time to get around and some just wave their hands in the air and give up while making that U-Turn on the way back home.

Don't drive all the way out here just to turn around.

When something gets in between you and your objectives, just find another way to reach them. Do not give up until you hear your GPS say "You Have Reached Your Destination." Even if your trip takes longer than expected, that's just life sometimes. Don't let life ride you, ride your own life as you continue going up and down your path of choice.

Have An Awesome Monday!
Do Not Give Up on Yourself. You will make it to your destination.

Today's Question: The road less traveled is feared by many, taken by a couple and survived by a chosen few. Are you strong enough to stay on course?

"Don't look for the easy way out. Look for the hard shit because it will make you stronger."
-C.T. Fletcher

The Daily: Soccer. Planks. Glory.

Allo Hello good peoples! So how about this Tuesday huh??

Hey. Better than Monday right?

Oh were to begin, were to begin. I'm feeling pretty stellar today after a round of work and soccer from yesterday except for a flat butt cheek. Yeah rule number 1...soccer balls hurt! Especially when the shot ricochets right off your backside. That's gonna sting for a little while...

Still going strong on the 30 Day Plank Challenge and getting to difficult part of the challenge with planks lasting up to 2 minutes and 30 seconds which then increase to 3 minutes starting tomorrow. You talk about a muscle burner and a great test to your overall body strength...try doing a plank haha.

I will admit that I can see and feel a few differences on my body. My arms are a tad stronger along with my core and parts of my lower body. This was a really fun challenge to do but I'm not going to lie...not looking forward to planking for 3 minutes straight. I'm gonna struggle the first attempt but I'll get it down pact eventually.

Other than that, still being the goofy persona that I am since birth. Wishing all of you a grand day and keep pushing yourself towards greatness!

"Hatred of someone else's accomplishment is a glaring sign of insecurity. Respect success and do your best to achieve even more than your rival."
